This experience was awful, worst customer experience ever. Basically my wife and I had a crib ordered well over 7 weeks ago and kept on getting the run around on delivery and when the crib was going to arrive when finally we thought we were going to be getting it delivered today. It was supposed to be delivered through the shipping company XPO but it was shipped to the wrong hub. Without consulting my wife and I to remedy the situation, they decided to cancel the order out right and refund us. Now if this was weeks ago this wouldn't be a big deal, however 7 weeks of waiting and then to be told too bad there's nothing we can do for you feels like a slap in the face. Customer service and furniture escalation said "the customer was refunded and there is nothing more to do".
Long story short, don't order baby furniture from jcpenny unless you want his crib to arrive after the baby grows up.
Edit. The crib is not coming so it won't even show up before he gets into pre school, on the plus side their customer service line was easy to navigate, so it was pretty easy to talk to somebody who...
Read moreTerrible communication! I have used JCP for decades and my recent experiences with them will be my last. NOt only was my in-store experience very dissatisfying, but online was the worst. I asked in the store if they still do custom drapery, associate had no idea. So I chedked online filled out information contact, and waited. Associate called me gave her all my information and expressed desire for drapery, shades, and plantation shutters. Wanted to start with the drapery. After a bit of a conversation she said they had someone in my area, and due to my knowldge of drapery I would be able to do a self-install. (It's literally hanging up the curtains, not hard, since I already had the traverse rods up) Assigned me a designer and said she would contact me within 48 hrs. A month later I contact them again, and they say they don't have someone in my area, and I wouldn't have been able to do a self install anyway!! Awful inept employees. Lost all my...
Read moreI was looking for a suit for a funeral but it came at a bad time (they always do) and my budget was limited. I was told by my brother to go to Men's Wearhouse first, but my instinct told me JCPenny. I tell ya, your gut tells you something, listen to it. MW is a separate review, but to shorten, I didn't leave with a suit. Or happy. Took a short hop to JCP. It was quiet, clean, easy to park, all the basics of a well-kept business. I caught the attention of a clerk named Brittany (apologies if the name is spelt wrong) and it was go-time from there. The jacket started it off, then the pants. I was in limbo on a shirt, but Brittany found me one of those too (we searched awhile too enlisting the help of a co-worker to find something specific). Everyone was friendly, down to earth and extremely helpful (Brittany found a lot of sales for me, I got what I needed and even under my budget). I will definitely shop here again and thank you for a fantastic, painless...
