Michaels — Attraction in Wilkes-Barre Township

The customer service here is awful. I needed to ship a sensitive item through their UPS drop off center. Despite me telling the cashier I was cleared to make this shipment, she began to yell what it was over her radio to her manager, who I then asked to speak to. He didn’t seem to care about what I had to say, just wrote me off as a Karen looking to cause a scene, and did not even bother to look at the letter explaining that I had been cleared. His resolution was to send me to the staples nearby, knowing well that they wouldn’t be able to handle this. I don’t mind them rejecting my package, despite it being cleared through UPS corporate as was stated before, I just believe that the staff here could have handled this in a more professional manner. Well...I went here to pick up a Christmas gift... It was a ninety dollar set of colored pencils.... No workers in the aisles to get the pencils for me so I take the cardboard facsimile to the register. After waiting an eternity because there are only two registers open, I finally get my turn. Since these pencils are expensive there are locked up...my cashier didn't have a key to open the case apparently.... She yells across to the other cashier..."do you still have the keys?" The other cashier replies in the negative....I said...."I'll just come back" . My cashier says "are you sure?" Not... "Let me find the keys".... Michael's lost a ninety...

I wish I could rate higher but it never has the polymer clay I need or want in supply. I go to many locations and it is the same here in North East PA. I wish I could blame the pandemic but it has always been this way and Hobby Lobby always has what I need so there is no excuse but poor ordering. The same goes for their paint selection. I will admit paint has been a bit low in most places but the shelves are empty at Michael's. Walmart and Hobby Lobby both somehow figured out how to stock the same exact brands that Michael's doesn't have most of the time. It is a real shame since Michael's is the predominate hobby/craft store...
