DICK'S Sporting Goods — Attraction in Wilmington

Stopped in 12,16,2024 in the morning to someone pressure washing the front of the store! Hoses and pressure washer in the way and a nasty mess everywhere. Don't understand why that wasn't don't before or after operating hours.Alittle difficult for me with a cane,I guess if I was using my wheelchair it would have been even more difficult. As I made it inside, the handicap carts were blocked in and difficult to get to.I entered the store and the first person inside the door just gave me a blank stare!.Not what I was expecting first thing on a nice holiday morning. I was shopping for my son and the clothing sections were so crowded people could barely get through much less someone on a handicap cart! Very upsetting to be so crowded! I guess this old crippled man was in there too long because same employees were watching me like I was one of the Savages that come in and steal! I was simply trying to maneuver around the mess to find clothing for my son. After the fake may I help you find something, I decided to leave and go to Dicks on Oleander and my experience was the complete opposite! Greeted as I entered,smiling employees and purchased several Christmas gifts for my son! Such a shame to have to drive across town to have a pleasant shopping experience without uneducated employees acting like loss prevention with a man in a handicap cart! Will never return and I'm sure no one Cares!...

Left the store in tears. After trying on some shoes that I told the associate that I was wanting to purchase, He instructed me to take a few laps around the store to make sure I still wanted to buy them. After looking at workout apparel that I was interested in purchasing as well - The same associate pubicly yelled at me Mam you have to bring those shoes back (as if I was trying to steal the shoes) I told him -You should not instruct the customer to take a lap around the store if that is not what you meant. He stated in public that he thought I knew to stay in the shoe department. When we arrived back to the shoe box where no one else was watching he admitted that he was wrong and he is new. I began to be highly upset about this and started to cry in the store. There was another woman in the store that was running throughout the store trying on running shoes. (I don't think anything was said to her.) I do believe this was racial profiling and I was discriminated against due to color. The silver lining was that I was able to purchase those same shoes at the other store (independence mall) in town. Leslie and her team was amazing...

Was testing out the golf clubs in the golf section because I was planning on buying one for my younger brother and I was in the main area when a woman came up to me and started staring us down and ask us if we could leave. We haven’t done anything me and my friend said she continues “get out the store” and we ask her what is it we did wrong and her reply shocked me when she said “no touching the golf clubs with ought employees around wow! I thought, it’s a store me and my friend said, we where floored as she continued asking us to leave very very rudely so we eventually do start heading towards the exit as she follows us and I ask why are you so mean to us and she replied “get the f%#* out the store now” I was speechless me and my friend will never be coming back to this store again worst costumer service I have ever experienced.
