Penzeys Spices — Attraction in Woodmere

I'd like to start off by saying I love Penzy's! Or at least I think I do? A friend of mine turned me on to them recently and although I was made aware of Penzy's political stance, it didn't seem to change my opinion of how great I think their products are. Fast forward to today, same friend (make) and I stopped into pick up a few things. We checked out separately and the cashier didn't ask if he received their emails/newsletter. She did ask me when I checked out (female) and made sure I received their amazing 25% off coupon. Could it be that my friend was just gender discriminated? Penzy’s, please, say...

This has to be the most fun place to shop for spices. I have NEVER seen a selection anywhere that compares to Penzey's ! I always find one I need or dont need but have to have just to try something different or pass along to someone who enjoys cooking and baking. Cute boxes to make up some favorites or something unique for gift giving. Reasonably priced for a specialty shop - yes, even for a cheapie like me. Clerks are always pleasant. Recipe cards around the store for your taking, featuring certain spices. Other odds and ends to catch your attention and...

A great spice store! The prices, to me, seem a bit high, but other reviewers seem to disagree. A huge selection of products. I had picked a wrong item and came back weeks later to exchange. There was no hassle as I had kept my receipt. The employees are helpful and friendly and one even remembered me from the previous months' visit. I had just come from an eye appointment and had drops in my eyes which made reading labels difficult. When mentioned, the employee gave me plenty of extra help.
