Breakfast & View at Mozart house — Hotel in Salzburg

It's a hostel with a big open room and bunk beds. If you get someone bunking in the room who snores you might be in for a restless night. You get a choice of breakfast in the morning or a bagged meal of breakfast items to pick up. There's one shower for a dozen or so people, so either get up early and be the first in or be prepared to wait and possibly have a cold shower. When you arrive you'll have to fill out a registration for for local authorities and pay a 1.50€ tax for Salzburg. If you're alone you'll probably have top bunk, since the bottom bunks are doubles. The beds aren't the most comfortable, but they're otherwise kept clean. The top bunk can be a bit uncomfortably close to the ceiling, especially for bigger guys. The beds may be a bit short as well for the 6+ foot (172 cm) crowd. Literally the worst place I have been to! I made a booking with them through booking.com and there was no warning that 12 people would be sharing a room with only 1 shower room and 1 bathroom. We went there, saw their property, and booked another hotel for our stay immediately. We called them to talk about the issue we had, but they never picked up. We contacted booking.com, and they agreed to contact the property on our behalf, but they never received any response from the hostel either. We reached out again 10 days later, still no answer. We waited for another month and half, and called booking.com again, still got nothing. These people have determined not to pick up calls or answer emails. Save yourself some time and book with another property to stay at during your time...

Everything was booked quick and easy. Unfortunatly when we arrived the code to get in the building didn't work.

At the hostel itself there were lots of confusion with other guests because nobody knew whos room was whoms. We couldn't reach the person who run the place. After talking with other guests we found out they got another phonenumber which did work.

The lady who runs this place wasn't at the spot, the girl who lived in one of the appartments helped us out a lot, even if it wasn't her job. Props to her!
