If you're looking to live in and enjoy the city of Salzburg, then arte vida is where you want to stay! Located near Mirabell Palace and steps away from the Linzergasse, this boutique property provides a perfect home-away-from-home. I stayed in Studio, which is one of their apartment-style rooms, with a complete kitchen (refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, oven, seating) and separate huge room with an incredibly comfortable bed, desk, and sofa (which can be made into a single bed). The full bathroom was large with a bath/shower and plenty of countertop space for toiletries--as well as a washer/dryer combination (which I didn't use during this trip, but would definitely have done so for a longer stay). I was lucky enough to arrive in time to do my shopping at the Schrannenmarkt (Thursdays), and with stores nearby, everything I needed was just steps away. Part of my trip included working remotely during my visit, and the Internet was high-speed and my colleagues would never have known I was not in the USA! It's a 15 minute walk to the train station and only a few blocks from a number of bus stops, so in addition to being centrally-located to all that the city offers, it's incredibly easy to navigate to locations farther from the city center. Arte vida's owner (Herbert) and Markus were incredibly welcoming and generous and made sure that I had everything I needed both in planning my trip and during my stay. We're already planning our next visit in Dec 2021--and looking forward...
Read moreMy stay at Arte Vida Boutique Guesthouse in Salzburg was wonderful! I stayed in the loft apartment, which had a cozy, welcoming vibe with charming decor that really made it feel like a home away from home. The apartment was super clean, and the bathroom was spacious and beautifully designed. The view from the loft was stunning, making the experience even better.
The location is perfect, within easy walking distance of Salzburg’s top sights, yet quiet enough to relax after a day of exploring. It was also nice to have tourist pamphlets provided—they offered great ideas and tips for local attractions.
A couple of minor notes: the loft is a 3-story walk-up, which wasn’t an issue for me but could be challenging for some. Additionally, a power strip in the living room would be helpful for charging multiple devices, especially with the twin bed setup there.
The owner was incredibly nice and accommodating, adding a personal touch that made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, Arte Vida Boutique Guesthouse is a gem for anyone looking for a warm, stylish, and perfectly located spot...
Read moreWe are a family of 5 and stayed for 3 nights in July. We stayed in the loft apartment which was very spacious and perfect for our needs. There was a sleeping area for the three kids off the kitchen area and a separate large bedroom and bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. It was bright and airy and plenty of windows for ventilation. There are fans provided which were helpful as it was quite hot. The location is excellent, very central and we walked to the Fortress and around the city. We never needed to take public transport. The train station is a 15 minute walk only. Herbert was a lovely host and was very helpful. There was a book with really good information on attractions and restaurants left in the room. The restaurant recommendations were spot on. We self catered so did not eat breakfast downstairs. We did sit in the lovely back garden which had comfy chairs and a Morrocan Style tent. The decor is lovely throughout the building. A really enjoyable few days in a lovely city. Thanks to...
