BLUE SKY GUEST HOUSE — Hotel in Khan Daun Penh

Liked· Good location. If you want a clean room to stay a few nights close to the center, this hotel its a good option. However, as a frequent traveler i would like to take account this points before to reserv here: You cant go out after 11.30 pm because the staff request you. In our case, we like go out to drink some beers because its a new city for us and we are traveling for fun, but this request for us have no make sense. If you need help storing your e baggage for a few nights, they cant help you (even in the case you go back and stay more nights in the hotel). We understood that maybe its because they dont have space, and its ok. But i would like to know before to reserved.

Disliked · We arrived at 10.00 pm because we flew at night from Vietnam. Despite was late and we were going to stay 2 nights, the manager request us to pay all the reservation in this moment. In this moment, we didnt have US Dollar or Cambodian Riel, so we asked him the possibility to pay the next day because we was tired but he told us that its no possible so we had to go out and find a ATM at 11 pm to pay him. We went to the ATM, and ate something so we go back to the hotel at 12.00 and the manager was upset for the hour (but he didnt told us the 11.30 rule :/.

They can be more nice and helpful...

We recently stayed in blue sky guest house for 3 nights and it was perfect.

It’s location can’t be beat. It’s basically right in the heart of the busiest part of the central tourist area, only a couple of minutes walk from the palace as well as all the big restaurants etc and the river. It’s also perfectly quiet with no sound pollution at night from the nearby establishments as it has good sound proofing and is away from the noiser places.

The rooms are simple, clean, comfy. The aircon is good. They came and cleaned up the room every day and changed the towels.

The staff at worked there are all lovely. It appears to be a family business and we got to meet them all over the duration of our stay. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming.

They accept payment by cash but there is a reliable atm just next door in a shop that’s open 24/7 so that’s no problem.

The host is just simply lovely , we came late at night looking for a room due to a last minute cancellation and he was so gentle and accommodating with us. The rooms are simple but have all that you could need for a quick trip to Phnom Penh. The aircon works well also. As other comments say it has a great location, very central without being noisy! The host also let me keep my bags all day which I really appreciated. The curfew did not bother us at all. I really just have to reiterate how the staff that work here are wonderful. In such a chaotic and big city it is so rare to find someone with a big heart and full of advice and ideas ! Thank you and hopefully...
