If, Hotel IF, is the question the answer should be “no thank you”|They say you get a welcome drink. We didn’t. We didn’t even get a welcome and when reception deigned to acknowledge our presence we were allowed to check in. Why didn’t we ask for our drink?; think we were lucky to be offered a room.....|We weren’t told anything so had to ask where breakfast might be, when it was available. |Other receptionists, later, were pleasant and maybe that one had a bad day, but first impressions, etc, to paying (a lot) guests?|Our room was on second floor. There are no lifts. There was no one to help with suitcases and it was not an easy climb. |There was no suggestion of assistance. |It was also not worth it when we did get to the room. |The rooms are very small but it did say that on web site. What it didn’t say was it was also extremely hot. Uncomfortably hot. Been in colder saunas. Left windows wide open (as did other rooms we noticed when outside) but room was still too hot. We tried turning vent one way one night, other way next, but never went below uncomfortably hot. |No real facilities in room. Shower doors old fashioned plastic on runners and not easy to use. Water takes ages to get hot (ironic considering room temperature). ||There’s not a lot positive about IF. Location is good, WiFi good, but that’s about it. For the price (not cheap!) could have been better elsewhere and certainly more comfortable and welcoming!|If you think of staying...

There is not a lot of hanging space for clothes so get ready to live out of your case for a few days. That aside the hotel is very nice and very relaxed. The location is a couple of minutes from the centre and less that that to the waterside so it is excellent. Breakfast is good and available up from 06:30 till 10am. Santolla restaurant next door with the same owners as the hotel is fantastic. My only suggestion to the hotel it to add some more coat hangers and perhaps some hooks on the back of doors. A couple of tweaks and the rooms would be more usable. Most important our bed was big and comfortable. If you use the shower and there appears to be no hot water just let it run for a while, one review suggested that there was no hot water,...
Read moreGreat location close to everything but the rooms are small and basic - essentially a bed, chair, bedside tables, lamps and a small place to hang clothes.||We had a room on the top floor which had great views and there’s a room terrace with even better views too. The bathroom is small with a fairly old fashioned shower cubicle which wasn’t the nicest to use.||Breakfast is continental in style but very nicely done and the cake is delicious.||Staff were friendly but could have explained more about the amenities eg the hot tub and neighbouring restaurant (which...
