Stayed three nights, two nights before our trek and one night after the trek. Staff are friendly and helpful but not a lot of English but will use google translate when needed. Room was basic but very clean with comfortable beds. Bathroom small but clean and cold water only. Wifi is available and works well. Breakfast is basic, bread and butter, eggs and fresh fruit found on the third floor and overlooks the water from the open breakfast area. Laundry can be done, if put into reception by 4pm it will be back by 7.30am the next day. Our clothes from the trek were very dirty and wet so working with our guide they organised for our laundry to be back by 6.30am the next day as our flights were leaving at 7am which I very much appreciated. The hotel also can change money for you. The hotel is situated within walking distance of many restaurants and cafes. Also walking distance from the beach. There is no lift, only stairs to upper floors. The main shopping complex including a large supermarket is about a twenty minute walk from the hotel but easy to find. I would...

Positives: The Air con is good, the location is very central and the receptionist who works the evening shift can speak English + is helpful.
Negatives: The shower pressure is like a leak, the shower drain clogs (both of these we asked them to fix and they didn’t seem to care), the staff during the day do not speak English and don’t try to translate, the beds are plastic and the breakfast is not great at all (which is a shame, because Colombia has some of the most delicious food I have tasted). The room we were in had one small window (rm 104) and is right near reception so expect to be up around 6.30 with all the commotion.
It’s not what I would expect from a hotel you pay this sort of money for - do yourself a favour and go to Masaya Hostel around the corner and get a...
Read moreThe location is awesome - close to water and all the restaurants and square. The hotel looked nice from the lobby, but then i got to the room. There was a big bed and then a small single bed that was sloped....glad no one slept on that. There used to be teo bedside tables, but one appeared ripped from the wall...and the holes in wall weren’t filled in.||The air conditioner made the air cooler, but not cool enough to be comfortable. The bathroom had hot water, but the shower pressure was a trickle.||Things seem like they should be easy enough to fix up snd then the hotel could be decent. But it is definitely not a room you want to spend any more time in than sleeping.||||Having said that, the staff were nice and...
