To be clear, I have stayed in this hotel previously in 2019 and gave them an excellent review. |This year I came back and hadn’t booked ahead (I knew there were lots of vacancies everywhere), so I did a walk in. I was created with a smiling “Your back!” and a hello from everyone. |I met some of the new staff and was given a room that opens to the patio, bar and pool. The air con was strong and fast, so I always turned it off when I left. |This place is incredibly clean. I commend the staff for the efforts they put in. |Location, location, location. Good breakfast on the terrace too, fruit, scrambled eggs, toast and the best latte I’ve had so far in Colombia. |For the price of this hotel, it really surpassed our expectations. At the end of our stay - we hugely regretted only having two days in Santa Marta - the son of the hotel owner, who was also very fluent in English, gave us a lift in his car to Minca, to our next hotel. Lovely people, lovely terrace, top marks for hospitality...
