We found this B&B in a quiet residential neighborhood in Český Krumlov, and it was our concluding overnight stay for our 14-day, eight-stay in four-nation trip. It really wasn't the highlight of our trip per se, but it still was a good one.
It gave us a very good restful night before driving some 400 km back home in Germany.
Breakfast was a delight. It was brought to our room in a gorgeous manner (photo) and left there. When we checked in, the lady told us that breakfast would be ready between 07:00 and 08:00, and it was there waiting for us just before 0800. I suppose it was a room service of sort without announcement. She told us we could go down to the porch, but that meant we had to haul everything there and it wasn't a good weather anyway, so we opted to eat in our room. Luckily, there was a table and chairs to enjoy our breakfast.
The only draw back we experienced was the fact we couldn't check in until 16:30. She must work and do this pension thing after her normal work hours... Well, we got to spend some time exploring Český Krumlov, and we were able to have an early supper/late lunch before getting here. This pension is not too far from the city center in a direct distance, but because the Moldau snakes through the old town it would take some time to drive back. We decided not to get back in to town in the evening and stay in.
We were able to relax in our room for the evening (we watched a movie we brought with us on our laptop--there was no TV in the room and even if there was one we couldn't have watched any Cezch channels anyway; there was a free wifi), and we were ready to head back home in the morning after our breakfast. We left our room key in the room and departed per instruction. It was a little strange not to have any human contact as we departed, but we pre-paid online, so there was nothing/no one to bother as we went on...
Read moreWe had two nights here and it was really good. Our host was lovely and provided an exceptional breakfast each morning - note plenty here to make some lunch as well!! The rooms were quite large and it was a leisurely walk to the town centre. Only thing that wasn't 5 stars was the linen provided was really warm which made sleep a bit tough in the middle of summer, plus the Blinds don't do much to keep...
