The "Tower of all the towers" stands at the interface of I. and II. courtyard of the castle, above the so-called Hrádek (small castle), which is the oldest part of the whole castle-château complex. The cylindrical six-storey tower has a Gothic core, but was completed in the Renaissance style. The lower floor was built in the middle of the 13th century, the second floor, slightly narrower and separated from the lower part of the tower by a narrow ledge, is about a hundred years younger. The renaissance appearance was given to the tower by the completion in 1581, the author of which is the Italian architect Baldassaro Maggi from Arogno. The exterior decoration of the tower and Hrádek in 1590 is the work of the Rosenberg court painter Bartoloměj Beránek. Between 1994 and 1996, a major repair and partial reconstruction of the painting took place. The observation deck on the fifth floor of the tower is decorated with arcades on 19 columns, the banner at the top of the tower is set 86 meters above the surface of the Vltava. The view from the tower gallery is not worth describing, you have to experience it in person. You can combine a hike to the tower with a visit to an interesting castle museum, so a total visit to Hrádek and the tower will take you less than an hour. Výhled z věžního ochozu nemá cenu popisovat, to musíte zažít osobně. Výšlap na věž můžete spojit s návštěvou zajímavého hradního muzea, takže celková návštěva Hrádku a věže vám zabere méně než hodinu.

It is a very worth ticket. Climb the stairs and see the inside of the tower as much as the city from a different angle. The tower is partly Gothic and partly Renaissance, as is evident from the tower external appearance. The tower as well as the castle is a segment of a structure dating from the first half of the 13th century. The oldest part of it is the groundfloor and first floor. The origin of the second floor is around the 14th century, while the third floor is part of the Renaissance belfry.

Český Krumlov is the second most visited city in Czech Republic (first obviously is Prague). This little town is amazing and it's kind of hidden treasure. Something you must visit and walk the street to discover buildings, shops, restaurants and more. City is not as crowded as Prague, so you can feel city atmosphere and slow down during walk. The final attraction of city walk is castel with small museum and tower. Český Krumlov is a remarkable place to visit.

This is the jewel of Czechia, probably the most beautiful little town in Bohemia and Czechia. Cobblestones, castle, churches, lots of museums, great food and of course beer. Don't miss the rafting, the old brewery, the Seidel photo museum and the Egon Schiele Art Centre. Easy to spend four days or more. A history of numerous centuries. A great idea to spend a long weekend with culture and entertainment, and lots of hedonism...

The most prominent tower in the middle of the castle, visible from nearly everywhere in the old town. The entry was only 80Kr per person, and well worth the view! The long, medieval spiral stair case meanders through a dungeon, a collection of old artifacts and a giant bell before giving you the best view of the town you can find. A true 360 degree view with an amazing vantage point, well worth the walk up the stairs!

The 360 view of the city from above is magnificent. It can get a bit crowded at times. There are a few flights of steps you need to climb. The last one is very narrow and steep, but it's worth it. Also when you buy the ticket, combine it with the ticket for the castle museum. It's well worth a visit and you get a discount if you combine the tickets.
