The ambiance and decore was very cool inside. However, the waitress who was serving us was incredibly rude. It was honestly shocking. We came at 7:30 pm on a Sunday night mid winter and she claimed it was completely booked, all night (with a nasty attitude). When I asked her if there were reservations spots for the next day at any time, she again said no. So I asked her if there’s a time it’s normally slower. She said try at 8. We came back that same night at 8, just 30 minutes later might I add, and asked a different waitress if there was room for 2. She led us upstairs where there were PLENTY of open tables. Interesting for a place that was apparently “completely booked all night.” Unfortunately for us the rude waitress served us that night, with the rudest attitude I have experienced on my trip. All glares and snide comments. All we wanted was a quick garlic soup, which apparently, along with our general existence, also annoyed her. To make things worse, we thought the soup was pretty salty but it could just be how the dish is served in the region. She also had the audacity to ask for a tip at the end of our 20 minute meal. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
I’d say the place is worth it if you are eating meat because the dishes looked incredible and they cook it over a fire. The other waiters were pretty nice, it was just that one waitress that ruined the experience for us. And definitely make a reservation if you can to save yourself the trouble, even if they...
Read moreWe inquired about table reservation in the afternoon.
The waitress told us that they are quite busy and if we haven’t reserved any table then we would need luck to get a free table in the evening.
We came back in the afternoon, we found two tables free as the guests had just left them.
I went into the restaurant to ask the waitresses if we could take a seat. (We were not sure if those two tables were reserved or not.)
They said that unfortunately they have no free tables if we hadn’t reserved.
We thought okay, the next guests who reserved them might arrive soon and they dont want to give those tables to someone else. Absolutely correct.
I went back and asked again the same waitresses if they see any chance to have a freed up table.
They said no, no, no it’s impossible. If we haven’t reserved, there is no chance at all.
We went out from the restaurant and as were still not sure if those free tables are not used, we were kind of expecting that they realise these tables and invite us to take a seat.
However something else, a very strange thing happened. Another hungarian couple asked if they could take a seat at one of that table, and voila, she said yes, sure…
we were meters away and didnt want to believe.
I dont know what quality or delicious meals they have but for sure we will...
Read morewas apprehensive to come here initially due to the numerous “racism” reviews, however, the staff were polite, and there were many other asian patrons as well. the food was decent but not amazing. the garlic soup served in a bread bowl was the best dish: strong garlicky flavour with a tinge of sour from the bread, served piping hot with generous amounts of melted mozzarella cheese at the bottom of the bowl. our two mains, chicken breast steak and grilled pork ribs were less than satisfactory: the chicken was not that juicy but went well with a horseradish paste, the pork ribs were very tough to bite but the bbq sauce was tasty. the interior of the restaurant was built like a cave, lit with dull yellow light and candle flames, giving a medieval underground vibe. theres a large open-fire where the meats are cooked, adding to the flair, however please try to request not to sit in front of the fire! we were asked to sit at the table there and it was a sweltering meal. i would recommend to try this place only if you are looking for an experience but able to stomach subpar food, if you’re searching for a more delicious meal then please look elsewhere. (they include a compulsory 10% service tax which makes this quite a pricey meal! 1 garlic soup, 2 mains & 3 drinks put our total bill at more...
