Ferdinandhof — Hotel in okres Karlovy Vary

Beautiful apartments, Appalling service! The rooms have been designed and built with a lot of care with real quality materials. I would have loved to meet the man that built the place as it has a real sense of style. Unfortunately people operating it are sad & arrogant people that don't have much by way of customer service skills, starting with a very grumpy concierge that was more concerned about his city tax, not realising we paid 20 times more a day for the room already 🤣 The man needs to learn how to smile as a start, else go back to construction or laundry services. He was not at the desk in the morning at check out so we couldn't advise any of the issues.

This can't be called a 4 star hotel as the offered services are lacking - no breakfast, no 18 or 24 hour concierge, rooms are large but not king sized (the choice of bedding here is unusual, we were given two single blankets on each bed instead of a single large cover - unusual). I think that it is a 3 star at best, with room to become more with a change in service offerings.

The rooms provide a kitchenette in them. They have a few items basic items, however were missing key items like spatulas, a working exhaust, the tea box was empty(ive seen better in Motels), etc

The air conditioning systems in the room wouldn't come on so there was no heating in the bedroom.

We booked this hotel thinking it would be a spa relaxing experience but it ended up being a nightmare. As mentioned in another review the street where the hotel is located is in full construction. When we reserved we requested an accessible room for my father who is handicap. There was no communication at all that the hotel is completely inaccessible not only by car but also on foot with luggage. When we arrived they realized that there was no way for my father to reach the hotel and we were then placed in their "partner hotel - Slunecni Lazne". They gave us two apartments with no accessible shower for my father. The apartments were full of dust, like they have not been cleaned for the season. On top of that, our original reservation included breakfast and because of the change, we had to go to another hotel nearby to buy breakfast. The administration of the Ferdinandhof simply avoided the problem and did not take any care of us at all. They did not want to refund for the NON breakfast and the dirty apartments.||Be careful when booking here!!! Make sure the construction of the street is already finished. ||I am sure the hotel/boutique must be lovely in normal circumstances but in our case it ruined our visit to beautiful...

Position of the hotel is perfect, near to the main walking area, but still very quite - 1 star There is a garage for the car nearby - 1 more star The hotel is new, so all the furbishment is in good shape - 1 more star WiFi is unsecured, but strong signal - 1 more star The last star is missing because of the poor room service - in 1 week never they vacuumed the apartment neither cleaned the bath. Making beds and change of towels cannot be called room service. I had great stay in Karlovy vary, the restaurants recommended by the hotel were supreme, the skiing on Klinovec was also good, only the management of the hotel should work on educating the personnel what does it mean room service. It is pity such a nice hotel to ruin its qualities due to one vacuum cleaning that takes 5 minutes.
