St.Joseph Royal Regent — Hotel in okres Karlovy Vary

We visit Karlovy Vary each year while 5 years. This was ou first time at Royal Regent Hotel. Very clean hotel, very good lacation. Good food, very friendly staff in the restaurant, swimmingpool + spa. Thank you for this, you are doing great job! We appreciate this very much!

But: Very unfriendly women at the reception. We feeled us totaly not welcome at the incheck (woman with long black hair). Very unhappy and unfriendly face, no information, no drink vouchers, no explanation about parking, no eye contact, arrogant comments about our ‘big family’… no hello if you meet her another day… Same thing while outcheck. Woman with red hair. No explanation about payments, short answers, no smile, no friendly goodbye. Unfriendly women at the lobby bar (curly black hair). Always unhappy face, we had the feeling that we are doing all the time something wrong. We left the hotel with a bad and sad feeling.

Please also give more information about the parking while booking. We recieved an offer where were mentioned parking €15/day and no word about reservation. At the check-in we hear just two words: no parking. Thank you to the man who helped us with bagage, he gave us a map and showed where we can park our car (3 km from the hotel). Thank you also that after two days we got the place at the parking of the hotel.

We spent a week in Sep. Nice hotel and clean room, good location, good medical, good food, friendly staff, good amenities like nice pool and bar.

Special thanks to reception staff. We came here after a week in Thermal and they helped with relocation a lot. More thanks to Olga, who went far and beyond scheduling our procedures to our liking. Olga even suggested to do some procedures immediately and prepared equipment herself as staff left already! And she did a lecture for us on how to take advantage of all the procedures to the fullest. Massage from Zdenka was very good! Actually, all the nurses are very professional and knowledgeable. Housekeeping was great and accommodating all our needs. Waiters are attentive and multi-tasking! I've seen a waiter replacing a cook at an omelet station. Another minute she was between the tables again!

Another example. The mattress was really firm. I like it, my wife is not. She complained and housekeeping added a soft top on her side. And changed linens.

Smoking area just next to entrance is a problem for...

the physician expertise is questionable, she has no idea about basic stuff done or prescribed in civilized countries, also has an attitude, procedures spread out throughout the day , so you choose between meals and sightseeing, after 10 pm, you wont find water anywhere, as it is no water fountains and they don't provide you any bottled water either, food...terrible, , if you paid for you meal and came late, thats it, they wont compensate you with your missed meal, as ""you didnt tell us before hand you will be late" If you tell in advance abut your trip planned to Prague or else, they five 4 big pieces of bread, and condiments.... During procedures they would not change wool blankets they cover each and everyone with the same one,,room was great, location is great, Serge at the front desk was super helpful, the response form the Hotel ...on trip advisor..we completely disagree...we spend handsome amount of money...and service i like in a socialist country, minus ..physical therapy at that time...
