BeefHouse,Praha — Restaurant in Prague

Hands down one of the rudest most unusual experiences I've ever had in my entire life I am very fortunate to visit Prague regularly a few times every year and the Czech people are usually always really nice and helpful. I was here just a few months ago and came to this restaurant before and had a good experience since it's close to my regular hotel. Upon landing in the city I checked into the same hotel and decided to go back to Beef House for a meal before getting some rest after the long flight. I walked in and there was nobody at the entrance so I continued in towards the bar where you normally place a 'to-go/takeaway' order. On the right hand side was a side table with a stack of menus. A innocently grabbed the menu and headed to the bar to place an order. Out of nowhere this tall blonde server comes up and rips the menu out of my hand and tells me not to ever do that again. In an insulting manner he said that I MUST ask permission to see a menu. I told him I just wanted to order something to take away and I asked him if he was kidding me? He responded by saying this is not McDonald's and then walked away refusing to take my order. Fortunately another server that had helped me in the past recognized me, he apologized, grabbed the menu and took me to a corner so I could sit down and look through the menu. He went back to tend to his tables and said he would be right back. While I was waiting for him to come back the same blonde guy and a bartender behind the counter both started making comments in Czech and part English insulting me and telling me this is Czech Republic and things are different here. I'm still trying to figure out what happened all I wanted to do was order food there was nobody there at entry so I grabbed the menu that was sitting out in the open on a table for everyone to touch and see.....a MENU for God's sake. If the manager of this establishment has any integrity at all then they will respond to this review and invite me to sit down face to face to figure out why his/her employees felt it was ok to berate a customer over a menu and in the end have me walk out without spending a penny there. Go to Cafe Imperial, the food is EXCELLENT there and the staff is amazing!...

Walking around the city today, I got tired and decided to drink coffee or water.  I saw this cafe, near which there were several tables.  I decided to sit down.  I saw that the door to the building was open, looked in to order drinks, but did not see anyone inside.  I decided to wait on the terrace.  No one approached for 15 minutes.  Later, my husband came and we decided to call a taxi to go about our business.  After we called a taxi, a waiter came and offered a menu, but we thanked him and said that we had already ordered a taxi.  A taxi arrived, and when we were already getting into the car, the same waiter came and started yelling like a madman at us because we did not put the chairs under the table after sitting, although when I arrived, the chairs were not exactly under the table  , and stood carelessly near the table.  My husband returned to put chairs, but the waiter was unstoppable.  In a word, as the waiter shouted, the staff should not communicate in decent restaurans, and in general, well-educated people who have elementary education should not communicate with other people like that. The conclusion is this, I haven't tried the food from the menu, so I can't say anything, however, if you don't want to be scolded for no particular fault, then I don't recommend visiting this restaurant.  I think that if the restaurant has a video camera, then the owner of it can confirm my words for himself.  It was especially unpleasant because today is my birthday.  He didn't spoil my mood at all, but I will...

Do BeefHouse Grill&Bar jsme vyrazili v sobotu přes oběd. Rezervace proběhla korektně přes telefon. Kromě samotného stolu, jsme se doptali na možnost parkování. Přestože je BeefHouse Grill&Bar na Praze 1, kde jsou všude modré zóny, tak možnost parkování nikde moc nezmiňují. A proto zde sám zmíním, že je možné bezplatně, v rámci návštěvy, využít soukromé podzemní parkoviště, které je v těsné blízkosti vchodu do restaurace. Parkoviště má dostatečně vysoké podhledy (nepamatuji si přesnou hodnotu), nicméně se zaparkováním Fordu Kuga nebyl nejmenší problém. Vjezd na parkoviště je z Mlynářské ulice. Před bránou lze buď zavolat do restaurace, či zazvonit na zvonek a brána se otevře. Vjezd do podzemí je po straně v průjezdu. Samotná restaurace působí prostorně s funkčními detaily (například tabule s dostupnými steaky podle gramáže), avšak poněkud unaveně... Ne náhodou je, a to zejména v případě stolů, které jsou opřené o zeď, běžným standardem mít omyvatelné zdi či obložení. Protože jinak krásné prostředí zcela zbytečně devalvují tukem potřísněné zdi v úrovni stolu. Působí to jako flek od omáčky na kravatě či košili - nepatřičně. Upřímně, mé dnešní setkání nebylo formální, avšak kdyby šlo o formální setkání, zcela jistě bych trval bych na jiném stolu. Máslo na hlavě má veškerý, jinak perfektně profesionální, personál, nejvíce však provozní restaurace a majitelé. Zde bych tedy poprosil, o pravidelný audit vzhledu, a vůli pro detail. Je to boj pánové, ale tohle nesmíte nikdy vzdát. Jako první chod jsem si dal vývar. Jedním slovem. Znamenitý. Jemný, čistý, čirý, silný, bez náznaku kyselosti, tedy opravdu čerstvý, s perfektním poměrem masa a zeleniny. V žádném momentě jsem nepostřehl ani náznak umělých dochucovadel. Polévka byla horká, což je správně, avšak na můj vkus zbytečně moc solená, dávám přednost čistě chuti, nicméně ne tolik solená, aby to zkazilo dojem. Polévce dávám jasných 5* Hlavní chod jsem měl 750g T-bone steak - medium rare, s hříbkovou omáčkou a fazolkami na slanině. U T-bone steaku je zcela legitimní, aby maso bylo okolo kosti méně propečené. Přesně tak to bylo v mém případě. Proto si T-bone dávám medium rare, a nikoliv rare. Maso bylo připraveno perfektně. Zde posílám uznání kuchařovi. Nízký roštěnec byl velmi jemný s dokonalou chutí, sousedící svíčková byla šťavnatá a jemná. Maso bylo čerstvé a správně uzrálé. Chuť, budu se zde opakovat, znamenitá. Samotnému steaku nelze nic vytknout, snad jen opět byl mírně přesolen, nikoliv však natolik, aby to kazilo dojem (asi prostě solím méně). Fazolky byly dobré, nijak mě však nezaujali, dokážu si představit je v sezóně nahradit chřestem. Hříbková omáčka byla podle očekávání a k masu se perfektně hodila. Steak i s přílohou celkově hodnotím 5* Oběd jsem zapíjel perlivou vodou, dezert jsem, jak jistě chápete, vynechal. Obsluhu hodnotím skvěle. Číšník, který se nám věnoval byl velmi příjemný a nápomocný. Jako samozřejmost je, že kabáty lze odložit v šatně. Kuchyně s mírnými výhradami výtečná. V mém případě šlo o velmi silný zážitek. Kuchařovi vzdávám hold. Samotná restaurace je zajímavá, avšak s významnými lehce napravitelnými výhradami. Celkový dojem podtrhuje možnost parkování, která jistě pro mnoho z vás, kteří čtete tuto recenzi, bude tím zásadním, zda se do Beef House Grill & Bar v Mlynářské ulici vydat. Návštěvu...
