I've tried several Japanese restaurants in Prague, and I really think it's the best one and here's why.
First of all, if you go here for sushi (every type of), you may find the priced a bit high though still in the average range of good next-to-the-cheapest class of Japanese restaurants in Prague. BUT, unlike others, they would give you quite big portions of excellently prepared and tasting sushi (I have tried salmon and tuna nigiri, salmon and tuna spicy gunkan, sake maki, philly maki and unagi maki).
Second, apart from very wide menu of "standart" sushi, you will find a great variety of fusion rolls. Honestly, I haven't tried those, but some of them looked quite impressive. Also, they have some kind of made up Korean rolls, which don't really exist, but look similar to Korean kimbap rolls.
Then, if you want something else, there's a great menu of other Japanese food, other than sushi, like rice bowls topped with different things, like salmon, caviar, eel etc. And suki-yaki and shabu-shabu. And i really have to stop here and go into details. Apart from the fact, that shabu-shabu I ate here is almost the complete copy of the ones I've tried in Japan, compared to even the ones in Japan it is really cheap! Ok, there's no lamb meet included, but the price is 450Kc (which will be around 20 dollars) for 2 persons, and believe me, it is enough to feed two. A-MA-ZING!
They also have some Korean dishes on the menu, but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant specifically for Korean food.
The service was that kind of lovely service, when you have everything you need and do not notice the waiter.

Read moreThis used to be my favorite spot for sushi in Prague, but I can't go back anymore. The food was always great, the place itself a bit disheveled, but fine and clean. But the problem was the absolute horrible service. Me and my husband were waited by this young foreign waitress, which was alright - she took our order and left. After about a minute the head waiter (czech man) started shouting at her very loudly about how she should have done this or that and most importantly how she should've told "the people" (us) that the order is way too big for two (we always go for a large meal after skipping lunch - indulging? yes. But I know what I'm doing.) Anyway, we were already miffed about this, but let it slide, got the food, everything was fine. The head waiter was the one who took the empty plates from us and he literally remarked "Stačilo vám to, jo? (Was it enough for you?)" with a sneer. Not me nor my husband are in no way overweight (shouldn't matter anyway) but this jab was super mean and completely soured my mood. Never went back after this, incredibly unprofessional. Happened about a year back, hopefully the guy is out by now, but I still won't be returning....
Read moreGood range of choice in the menu, amazing atmosphere and idea of using wooden boats for sets serving! Also quite tasty sushis and convenient location in the heart of Prague
We ordered a portion of sushi rolls + 2 sushi combo sets. However, when we ordered those 2 sets, the restaurant staff have put it on one boat altogether and didn’t notify us. Then they brought it and put it on one corner of the table as if it was one of two sets for one part of our company only. If they put it in the middle of the table, at least we would have questioned if there are both sets on it. As a result, half of the people at the table were waiting for a long time for their sushi set while another half was eating what’s put on their part of the table without knowing there are two sets merged. It was only when we called the waiter that he told us that there are two sets, but it was nearly too late. Of course, people who ate shared with us what’s left, but it was an indistinguishable leftover mix of sushi across 2 sets. The restaurant brought apologies by giving two small bowls of edamame later, but it was not enough for those who didn’t have...
