To the Hotel Management,

Greetings,

I would like to express my deep dissatisfaction with an unpleasant experience I had during my stay at your hotel, specifically at the café located within the premises.

One day, I went to the café intending to enjoy a drink I had brought with me from my room, something I had done on previous days without any issue or objection from the staff. As I sat down and took out my cigarette pack—without even lighting a cigarette—I was approached by a staff member who rudely asked if I was going to smoke and told me that bringing my own drink was not allowed. I tried to explain my situation calmly, but he seemed uninterested in what I had to say. He then threw the menus on the table and said, “This is a café,” before walking away in a disrespectful manner.

I believe the matter could have been handled more politely and professionally, especially considering that I am a guest at the hotel and expect a level of service that reflects the reputation of your establishment.

In addition to this incident, I would also like to mention some concerns regarding the room conditions during my stay. Upon check-in, the room was extremely hot. I contacted reception to adjust the temperature, and while someone was sent to assist, the issue was not resolved. For the first two nights, the room remained uncomfortably hot. Then, for the remaining three nights, the room became extremely cold, with the temperature dropping to 20.4°C, and I was unable to adjust it myself. This made my overall stay quite uncomfortable.

I kindly ask that you review this complaint and take the necessary actions to improve the guest experience and ensure such issues do not occur in the future.

Note if you are clusterphobic the toilet is extremely un comfortable as for the toilet was next to the shower box and it was extremely clustered , the wasn't working unfortunately I tried to tell the receptionist to call a technician to fix the issue with the phone also...

Honestly I hate leaving bad reviews, because I’m a business owner myself and I know that it’s not nice for the business. But no choice here. We came to this hotel after 12 hours flight from Texas. We are not a young couple and my wife has a very bad knees and inflammation. So probably you can imagine how we felt. We booked this place for one night, because next day we were heading to karlovi vari I went on their website and booked it without paying attention to details. So instead of booking for October, I accidentally booked for November. Came to the place and then it’s started. We cannot refund you, you have to purchase stay for today and then also November stay can not be canceled. I understand 24 hour cancellation sometimes do not approved , but months in an advance??? Really? They offer us a room for one night for almost $200 which is extremely expensive for Prague. It’s a hundred of choices for hotels around $50-$70 but because we were sooo tired and literally in pain , we just booked it. I’m just had this feeling that they just played us. So basically for one night it was $200 plus they didn’t want it to refund for the made by mistake November reservation, which is just outrageous! Finally they promised to cancel November reservation after emailing back and forth. Like I said I’m a business owner myself and my preference is a CUSTOMER! Make customer feel good, isn’t this a rule for the any business owner? Anyway, it was our first time visiting Prague and it’s started very unpleasant. Hotel itself has a great location. Room is clean. But please improve how you work with a guests , especially elderly...

Gem in Prague – Outstanding Hotel with Exceptional Cocktails

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful modern hotel in Prague that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the elegant and amusing murals that adorned the walls, adding a unique and artistic flair to the entire experience. The attention to detail in the decor was truly remarkable and set the perfect tone for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

One of the highlights of my visit was undoubtedly the bar, where Ben and his talented team work their magic. The cocktails they create are nothing short of extraordinary. Each drink is a work of art, with flavors that are both unique and inspired by various parts of the world. It’s clear that a lot of passion and creativity goes into every cocktail, making each one a memorable experience. The team behind the bar is incredibly friendly and engaging, adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. The Spa and sauna area is also exceptional.

The location of the hotel is also ideal, situated right in the heart of Prague. It provided easy access to all the city’s major attractions, making it a perfect base for exploring.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Prague. The combination of beautiful design, outstanding service, and exceptional cocktails make it a true gem in the city. I look forward to...

Let’s start with the positives. First, one of the best breakfasts by the hotels I have ever experienced. The spread was incredible that can satisfy the most picky eaters. Second, the bed & pillows were the best during my Central Europe trip this time. Third, the location is just a pleasant 2 min walk from the main train which was our reason for choosing Falkensteiner. Now, let’s give some constructed feedback for the hotel management cause I don’t think they know there’s a lot of room for improvement. There’s no in-room luggage rack. Granted it’s upon request. However when I made the request, nobody seemed to understand what I was talking about. It went thru 3 people including the manager to get it straightened out. While I was trying to reach the front desk I discovered that the phone line wasn’t working. No choice but to trek down to the lobby in robe and was told that the dead phone line has been a known issue. What? And the hotel has no problem putting guests in the rooms with unfixed issues and just hope for the best? I was really annoyed! The floor I stayed was 3rd and was filled with tobacco odor in the corridors and elevator which was quite bothersome. The sauna area was congested and uninviting. Maybe this is personal but I found the bathroom products quality cheap. I wish the hotel well and take the feedback in strides by elevating the quality of customer experience.

I chose to stay at Falkensteiner Hotel Prague because of the great reviews, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the expectations. First, on the first night, I discovered numerous ants in my room. I reported this to reception, and their solution was to have the cleaning staff spray pesticide in the room. I wasn’t offered a room change, which was disappointing, especially since this meant I would have to breathe in the fumes. Second, the room was unbearably hot. The temperature stayed between 29-30°C all night, even with the small ceiling window open. When I asked the receptionist, they told me that the AC doesn’t work at this time of year and recommended turning off the heater, but this didn’t help. I later noticed several recent reviews mentioning the same issue with the room being too warm, so clearly this isn’t an isolated problem. The above two issues are unacceptable in any hotel. Lastly, the reception staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent.
