Overall a good hotel, but not worth 4*.
The room is actually pretty good. It looks good, it's clean and all the necessary amenities are available. The bed however is probably one of the worst I have ever encountered, not only rock hard but also with an uneven mattress. Pushing forward sleep 'cause you don't wanna sleep in the bed is not what you want in a hotel. Even in december the room was insanely hot and we had to sleep with the window open every night. Rooms with air conditioning cost extra.
Breakfast is fine. Nothing special, but with a decent amount of bread and some fresh fruits.
The service though... People at the front desk are polite and they even speak a few words English - which seemed rare for the city. The other staff that can be found in the hotel however seemed to match that of the people in Prague: non-responsive, uninterested and rude.
What was also disappointing is the construction going on next door (literally; our room view was the construction site), which wasn't mentioned before or with booking nor upon arrival. The workers sleep on site and work from 7am-9pm. They just started the foundations so this will probably last a while...
The location of the hotel is perfect, every tourist sight is easily walkable and the centre location makes it the perfect start to either of them. A fine hotel with a great location, but next time I'd definitely pick something with a bit...

Location. Metro, tram, shops, sightseeings, everything is very close.
Service. Helping, polite, very attentive.
Visible surfaces are clean.
NEUTRAL THING: it is not mentioned anywhere but all the windows look at the wall. Those who have claustrophobia may feel real discomfort. But in the morning there is no sun waking you up.
MINUSES:
Room is not 20sqm. It is just 9 (I measured). Bathroom is big. But it is not room.
Because of the size of the room and walls outside it may feel really like a small box.
Breakfast could be better. Really. It is Czech Republic. Food is great there. But in this hotel breakfast was not even good.
No soap. At all. The bottle is there but empty. Just two small pieces of shower gel.
When I charged my phone near the bed, you need to move furniture and find out that the socket and the floor around it is fool of dirt and dust. Unacceptable, really.
Mirror was very dirty. Cup was dirty. Tea was just red berries. Not sure that everyone likes this tea.
CONCLUSION: I love Prague and the hotel was very warm, with great service and the best location. But I am not sure that I will choose this one again during my next visit. Though still it is a nice place to spend one two nights in Prague. And all minuses are...
Read moreIf I could, I would rate it with 6 stars. Let's start... The location is optimal. Wenceslas square is close to almost every place of interest in Prague. Even the castle is within walking distance, if you are up to 2km of walking. All the rest you can visit with a casual stroll. Furthermore, trams and trains have the corresponding stops very close to it.
The rooms are superb for the price. Roomy, with plenty of light, all the standard amenities and above all quiet. Mention should be given to the wooden flooring, which is a great plus, especially compared to standard carpets.
The breakfast is great, with ample choice and an interesting mix of local and international options.
The staff is excellent. Eager to address any question and any issue. To further elaborate, we forgot some of our stuff in the room. After a brief and polite communication, the staff eagerly obliged to pack them up and mail them to our home country, in top condition. A great thank you to the staff and the establishment in general.
To conclude: one of the best choices in the old town of Prague, with amazing...
