Would give it a zero star if I could, for the rudeness of the staff. Arrived last night at 11pm exactly after taking a taxi directly here knowing that the place closes at midnight. We heard a lot about this pls e and wanted to spend the end of a birthday celebration in this bar. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by sour faces from the bartender and the one waitress that was there. They couldn't hide their "oh no! More people" face. We asked if they are open and the bartender said in a rude way looking at his watch :"for a little while". Again, it was 11pm. There were 2 girls on the bar inside having drinks and it looked like they were friends of the staff. There was one person outside who seemed to have been rushed to pay the bill. We sat outside and the grumpy bartender came out to say that "we are sorry but as we already cleaned the bar and the equipment, we can only serve you a limited selection such as gin and tonic, beer and wine". We came here for the cocktails of course.

It was clear they weren't happy to serve us ONE HOUR before they close, but as it started raining heavily as soon as we arrived there (see the video of the rain outside where we sat), we decided to order gin and tonics as it was pretty much what, was offered us.

The waitress that brought the drinks was very rude throughout. Not a single smile was seen on her face. We asked for some of those 'talked about' popcorn to go with the drinks and the bartender said "we'll see what we can do. We got stale popcorn. They should have better not bothered serving these. At 11:40, in the middle of very heavy rain outside the rude waitress came out and asked:" paying cash or card"? We realised we better leave. We paid the bill and left in the rain as the outside rain was more welcoming than the inside of the bar. Needless to say: those girls on the bar inside were not rushed to leave. They had fresh full drinks in front of them when we paid the bill.

We live in Prague and we will not return.

And no manager response can convince me that it is an isolated incident. You could see the type of place this is. Service culture does...

My fiance and I went to the restaurant for the St. Valentine's menu. Firstly, I must admit that the place's design is very nice, but the Valentine's menu was a total rip-off 😳 The food wasn't worth the price at all. None of the four courses were good; the portions were small, with minimum meat and used cheap ingredients. We were not even full, and I felt quite ill in my stomach after the dessert. While I was in the restroom, my fiance paid the bill and even left the usual 10% tip. The bill then came to 4000 CZK. I mean, it would have been fine to pay this for good food, but for something like this, it's unacceptable. It was a big rip-off and a huge disappointment! Shame on the person in charge of that restaurant/bar.

Thank you for adjusting the menu to my pregnancy status. Initially, I thought it was just me being understanding about receiving not-so-good dishes due to my pregnancy adjustments. However, after talking to my fiance about his food, we realized how well below expectations it was. Also, the bill was quite a shock at the end, so it took us some time to realize that we had actually been ripped off. 😄💁‍♀️ Especially when you come in a good mood and don’t want to complain to your partner that the food is disappointing… It’s pretty natural to try not to destroy the moment. I definitely won’t leave any tip, but my fiance is a gentleman, too...

The Monkey Bar is everything it's advertised to be, and more. The food, the service, and the ambiance are all high class and commendable. Today we enjoyed the bottomless brunch from their Jungle Christmas menu. *The food I'd rate as a solid 9. The biggest issue I had was the portion sizes were huge ( lol, that's a good problem to have). But, the portions were a bit overwhelming, leaving me soo full, I wasn't able to sample all the offerings. However, the flavors and textures were rich and well paired. Everything was beautifully plated and served with such care: I absolutely loved it. The Duck burger was a bit blah, but we had it towards the end when we were already full, so this might not be fair. Of the 8 things on the menu, I absolutely loved 7. *The ambiance would be 11/10, if that was possible. The space is beautifully and tastefully decorated, I really love the Monkey theme. There are photo worthy spots right throughout the restaurant down to the very restroom area is cute. The service was professional and smooth! Everything was served timely and with precision. Plates were cleared away promptly, making it easy to order your next dish.

I hear it's overpriced; I do not agree, but everyone's budget is different. To get full servings at a bottomless brunch, for this price, is...

Monkey Bar Prague – A Must-Visit for Brunch, Cocktails & Vibes Monkey Bar in Prague is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. With its stylish interior, laid-back atmosphere, and attention to detail, it’s the perfect spot whether you’re planning a weekend brunch, an evening out, or a casual cocktail date. We tried several dishes from the menu and each one impressed. The Eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked with a velvety hollandaise sauce. The Monkey Fried Chicken Burger was a flavor bomb — crispy, juicy, and full of bold seasoning. For something lighter, the fresh fruit bowl was bright, refreshing, and beautifully presented. And for dessert, the banana soufflé stole the show — warm, airy, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Their cocktails are just as creative as their kitchen. The Grapefruit Spritz was light and refreshing, while the Spring Garden offered a pleasantly herbal twist — a unique drink that surprised us in the best way. The staff was friendly, quick, and professional, which elevated the entire experience. Whether you’re a local or visiting Prague, Monkey Bar is a must-visit for foodies and cocktail lovers alike.
