Booked a room remotely, thinking it would be a great choice with a location. I have to admit that rooms are quite big and clean, they usually have bath, hair dryer and kettle. Carpets are on the floor, which make rooms even warmer. There is also a wifi in the rooms, but is not as strong as it looks like, signal si somehow good, but wifi often doesn't work and getting laggy, unstable (so do not recommend for business trips, when stable internet connection is a need) Our stay in hotel was longer (5 days), and breakfast was all the time pretty much the same, not too much to choose/eat, dry bread, cheap juice (rather juice with water), and it offers very tiny space to eat. Just do not go here in rush our, because there are only 7 tables or so (but when is a rush hour?? No idea..). Also it would have been better, if breakfast had been starting at 6,00am or so.. Our first room was spacious, and during the day (hot summer days), we wanted to open the window, but we couldn't, since it had double windows with very small hole for letting the fresh air inside (see attached image, this was maximum), anyways it was located to very noisy street with trams, cars "playing" with their horns, so we're not able to sleep properly and asked to change the room, since windows couldn't be open during the night and we needed a fresh air. For about 10eur they switched us a room a gave us a new room, which was also noisy even though it was located to the inside parking lot, but at least windows could have been opened. Rooms had very thin walls, one night there had been a party in next room and I reported it to staff (which was not friendly, only a female was nice, globally), so we had not been sleeping like for 3 hours (from 12am to 3am....). Second night was exactly the same, so we had the call the police officers, because it was unbelievable. But, anyways, police could had been called by receptionist, he must have heard it as well! Hotel is located near metro station, but it takes like 7minutes here and also there is a tram station (stopping very close to the metro) which is located like 2-3mins from hotel. Not sure which one is better, probably neither, because I consider 7mins to quite a long time. There is also new Smichov Shopping centre (6mins by foot), which is very positive, because you have shops, restaurants and even a cinema quite near you. We will not be visiting this hotel anymore,...
Read moreMy boyfriend's mother and father visited us in Prag to celebrate boyfriend's mother's birthday. They have booked this hotel. First impression of outside building wasn't so nice. We came for check-in and receptionist informed us, they have booked 3 beds bedroom for only one person (nonsense)! We asked her to solve it, because we booked a room for 2 persons. Receptionist had no idea how to solve it, so she called to manager. Then receptionist told us we have to pay for one more person in the room. We had to call to booking by OUR OWN to solve the situation because of terrible abilities of receptionist. Afterwards we paid less price for second person. I asked receptionist if they can prepare breakfast to room, since my mother-in-low has a birthday. Room were ugly, old fashion furnished, with miniature bathroom. Next day even we paid for next person and breakfast for second person, they brought only one badly served breakfast....
Read moreRecently I spent several nights at D'Angelo. I agree the staff was good! My room was clean and off the street. However, without air conditioning, I had to open my window. And there is construction very close! It got cool our last night but the heat is not turned on until later in the year! I reported my room smelled like someone smoked in the room. My room did not have a phone. My friends did but it did not work. I wanted to buy a water/soft drink from the front desk when we arrive but they do not take credit & I did not have crowns. The advertisement said room service is offered...it is not. I thought I misplaced my keycard... $20 Fee for new card. The hallway is lite by light sensors. So the hall can be totally BLACK until you cross a sensor..scary for a woman. Breakfast was ok. It is not in the best area but within walking distance to one. It is not what I expected from the...
