Kampa Island is considered one of the most beautiful city islands in the world. According to the chronicles, some artificially created island was here already in 1169. However, it did not have today's shape or name. And we don't even know how it acquired the present name. Being a most beautiful city island in Europe, Kampa is a complex area including a lot of sightseeings, restaurants, museum of modern art, amazing river bank view, yellow penguins, statues (eg. Babies from David Černý, which I personally consider as an ugly piece of art; Statue of Harmony etc.), small river Čertovka, hotel Kampa, nice calm park, Lennon wall and a lot of hidden charming places including cozy cafés.
