The hotel was not what we would expect from the price and pictures. First of all they gave of us a room in the top-story when there were only windows near the roof!! So we did not have the chance to even have a look outside or anything like this. Second, the room was not very clean! There were a blood stain on the hairdryer! Also the cups were not very clean and there were finger stains left on them! That was the most disgusting part! When I saw it I went downstairs and ask the reception to do something or change our room! She said for changing the room I should wait till next day (which after unpacking I was really not in the mood of changing the room anymore). Therefore she send the service-staff upstairs to clean the cups! Surprising , exactly in front of my eyes, while I was expecting she changes the glass with a new one, she took the glass to the toilet and washed it and dried it with the towel she had with her and asked me if it is now fine or not!!!! It was not all, third misery was the next day when I went for breakfast, I saw quickly in the kitchen they are re-filling the ham plates with the bare hands without using any hygiene gloves! Then when I decided to eat some noddle soup (the home-made one), I found a long black hair there! So you just imagine! This hotel really made me not enjoying enough in Prague. If you care a lot about cleanness please do not choose this hotel! The only positive point was the...
Read moreRoom seemed clean except in the corners. The room compared to the pictures was tiny so if you are there for a long time, that can be an issue. The view from oir room was terrible but we were there for only 2 nights and just for sleeping, so meh.
The breakfast selection was good but the breakfast area is in the basement. There is only 1 elevator so you have to wait a lot if you want to get anywhere in the hotel. The breakfast area is so small, it is not enough to accomodate everyone, so first morning we would have had to wait but decided have a breakfast elsewhere. salso during covid, its quite risky to put so many people in a small area. Next morning we had oir breakfast there, coffee is okay, the scrambled eggs were sour. One of the breads had no taste at all.
This is a 3 star hotel at best, i think for this price, there are much better places. Unfortunately hotel stars rating in Prague dont seem to mean anything apparently (2 friends stayed in different hotels, had similar experiences) but I can safely say a 3 star hotel is a 2 star in normal hotel star rating, a 4 star is a 3, etc.
The bed was okay though. The toilet paper is so thin, you can see through it.
Location wise its okay but if you are by car, they dont have a garage so you have to park on the street which is in a zone where you have to pay for it...
Read moreSo originally, this wasn't the hotel i booked for my trip to Prague. Unfortunately, the other hotel got the wrong dates, and they didn't have spare rooms. So, while haunting for the hotel, my partner and I found Hotel Mala Strana. Very helpful and friendly staff!! Helped us, and within minutes, we had a room. They showed us where the breakfast room, luggae room were. They were very polite, friendly, and helpful. Thank you! :) The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and big. The bathroom was equipped in soaps, hair dryer, cotton pads, and towels. Unfortunately, the shower head was a bit damaged, but we managed with it. Wasn't a massive problem. It can be noisy outside,so i do recommend taking earplugs. The kitchen ladies, oh my god, thank you for delicious various food at breakfast. Very friendly and polite ladies, very smiley:) Old town and other attractions were not far away, we were taking a walk everywhere, no need for public transportation, you can also leave your luggage with them even for a whole day before your flight. I do recommend...
