Our visit to The Spot restaurant today was incredibly disappointing. Right from the start, the staff exhibited arrogance and unfriendliness. I ordered waffles with fruits and whipped cream for my daughter, and a spinach omelet for myself, and our friends ordered waffles and a croissant.
Unfortunately, the waitress forgot my daughter's breakfast, and when I inquired about it, she left to check the kitchen and never returned. After asking another waitress, she informed us that the kitchen had messed up the order. When we finally received the waffles, they were hard as a rock and far from fresh. Despite notifying the waitress, she dismissed it, attributing the hardness to not being consumed immediately after cooking.
My daughter, who began eating promptly, complained of feeling sick shortly after consuming less than half of the waffle. She ended up vomiting at the cafe. Surprisingly, none of the staff approached us to inquire about her well-being; instead, we had to request paper towels to wipe the floor. The cleaner eventually came to mop the floor.
The staff's lack of helpfulness and their indifference to our situation was disappointing. Despite speaking to the manager, who offered a discount card for a future visit, the overall experience was so poor that we have no intention of returning. We didn't have to pay for the breakfast, but the shock of the incident lingered.
While The Spot is a nice place, the service is severely lacking, and the coffee is very average. My spinach omelet was satisfactory, but my daughter's waffle was nothing short of a 150czk piece of an old brick that made her sick. See the pic. No more visits, thank you. Better to stay away...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Spot Malá Strana, a charming cafe located in the heart of Prague's Lesser Town. From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the bright and modern interior, which creates a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The cafe is also spacious and well-lit, making it an ideal spot for working or catching up with friends.
For lunch, I ordered the chicken supreme, which was cooked to perfection and served with a delightful side of roasted vegetables. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the vegetables were perfectly seasoned. I also enjoyed a cup of their freshly brewed coffee, which was smooth and aromatic.
In addition to their savory dishes, The Spot Malá Strana also offers a wide selection of natural cakes and vegan options. I sampled a few of their cakes, and they were all absolutely delicious. The cakes were moist and flavorful, and they were made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at The Spot Malá Strana. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a delicious and relaxing dining experience in Prague.

Read moreFood was bad. We got hamburger daily special for lunch which might have been the worst hamburger I have ever had - tasteless with terrible soggy fries. I actually got food poisoning right after lunch. Coffee on the other hand was pretty good. The decor is modern and fun. The place is really big but clever design offers sense of coziness due to different sections, including little patio in the back ( for sure the best feature of this place). Service was not great, I found staff quite arrogant - their “ funny remarks/ jokes” were disrespectful. There were no gluten free options nor there was any will to accommodate gluten sensitivity in any way. There is so many cute coffee shops in the area, I for sure will not be returning...
