While staying in Prague, my family and I serendipitously discovered a charming pastry shop, just a stone's throw away from our hostel. This delightful find soon became our default breakfast spot, enticing us with its delectable spread of pastries every morning.
Every day, the shop presented a fresh and enticing array of exquisite pastries. Each creation was a testament to the skill and passion of the craftsmen behind them - a visible spectacle of dedication as you could witness them preparing these treats through the shop window. The sight of the baker meticulously crafting the assortment of pastries added an extra touch of charm to our breakfast ritual.
Among the irresistible spread, two pastries stood out as our clear favorites - the Cherry Bomb and the Chocolate Croissant. The Cherry Bomb was a delightful surprise, with a perfect balance of tart and sweet flavors. The Chocolate Croissant, on the other hand, was a sheer indulgence with its flaky layers and rich, creamy...
Read moreYou’re my the most favorite bakery in Prague and in fact recently the only one that I buy the bread from. Now as I’m eating your delicious rye old bastard which is one of a kind, and really enjoying it, I wanted to share the experience with the world. The staff in Ujezd branch where I mostly go is very friendly always explains whatever I ask. Regarding old bastard, it’s pure rye fermented high quality bread with seeds and tastes amazing!! I haven’t found anything similar on the market, I shouldn’t be eating gluten but with this I feel good. Other breads like “let it grain” or “old charles” for example also taste great . The croissant is like heaven. I love also the things in a cooler like tuna spread( I haven’t tried hummus though yet) too. Cold press orange juice delicious! The only thing is, whenever I go to the bakery I spent a lot of money, I buy more breads but then I freeze it so I can enjoy it like...
Read moreAre you in the mood for pastry or a sourdough grilled sandwich, or maybe a loaf of artisanal bread? If so this is the place you don't want to miss, the shop is relatively small but offers a big variety of baked goods which are all great, seriously you can'y go wrong with whatever you pick. I would recommend you go grab yourself a sandwich (Tuna is aaaamaziiiing) or pastry of your choosing and a cup of coffee which they also get in store, and it is great quality coffee (La Boheme coffee blends) which you can also pick up in bags if like it, and go enjoy your breakfast in the park just near the shop. After which go back and get a loaf of bread to have for lunch :D
Also, in the shop you get a glimpse into the baking process that goes on as one of the walls in the shop is transparent and offers a view to a shaping station where you can see a piece of the magic happen if you are into that...
