I stayed here for three weeks as a part of a student medical program. While the main area of my attention was certainly for the medical program, I also have to, undoubtedly, recommend the accommodation in which I stayed in, Atelier 12. The host here, Aleksandr, was very helpful in providing what was needed. He was not only helpful in terms of customer service but, being a Prague local, he was able to provide me some tips where to go in Prague and overall in the Czech Republic (i.e. Saxon-Swiss National Park). While the wifi was not evenly distributed in the building it certainly was fast and that's what matters. Also what was cool about this hostel was that it was small enough for everyone to feel like family. My friends and I were talking to other guests staying at this hostel on multiple occasions...something which you can't really do in hotels (I mean you can but to a lesser degree). Overall, AWESOME place and totally recommend. Hope to come back here in the future but would like to stay in the upstairs rooms definitely. I wonder how Prague looks like...
Read moreThis place is cute and very well situated in a great area of Prague BUT the beds and mattresses are clearly very cheap, probably from Ikea, and were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. So much so that after sleeping a week on them, I pulled out my back and was in pain for a couple months. (No exaggeration) My friends also were in agony sleeping and referred to the beds as "an instrument of torture." The breakfast was great on the first day and every day thereafter was less and less food and presented with less effort. I can put up with a lot of things but uncomfortable beds and subpar linens/blankets are a deal breaker for me. Also, upon looking closely you could see A LOT of cobwebs and spiders in every nook and corner. I really hate to give bad reviews but this one is unfortunately warranted. I do not recommend...
Read moreThe location was great. We walked easily to the castle and everyday across the bridge to the old city. For those who don't want to walk the subway is nearby as well as a bus stop.||We had a large room with the bathroom across the hall. The owner is an artist so lots of paintings on display. We arrived after a very long day of traveling late at night and couldn't get into the accommodations. Travellers with cell phones and international sim cards could call the owner who would open the door. We had to walk to the restaurant on the corner and they were kind enough to...
