Not worth it. Let me tell you why. Yes, the beef brisket is nice, but it is so expensive per gram, it does not get served hot (just warm) and before you’re at your table, and especially if you’re first with others (as it is self service, you are choosing the food one by one), it is already cold. And you don’t want to rush eat before others are there either, right? The potatoes also weren’t hot. The beans were tasty, but not my preferred style, as they were quite hard. But that’s just a preference I guess. My wife’s chicken was not that special, neither was her coleslaw, and her potatoes weren’t hot either. The sauces taste good, which are kinda needed to taste up the meat a bit, but the brisket would be way better if it would be hot. Drinks weren’t cheap either, and they are asking for a tip when paying for it, before serving it at the counter as they are not brining it to you. So it is a 100% self service. And it is awkward to not tip when they are looking at you, but they don’t do any/much service to tip for? (I don’t consider tapping beer or putting food on my plate in front of me a service?) So, if everything would be hot, it would be way better, same as if the prices would be cut a mini bit.

We stopped in here on the recommendation of a US military service member serving at the Embassy. Walking in the vibe was a little cafeteria esque and we weren’t sure if we’d stay past a quick draft sample. So glad we did! The sour ale on draft was excellent as was the hot cider. We ordered a combo BBQ plate to share. The combo comes with four very unique, made in house sauces. One we didn’t love but the others we’d buy in bottles! The baked beans had enough meat to be a meal in themselves. The coleslaw had a great combo of spices and the cilantro gave it a tiny Latin flare. I fought that one out of my spouses hands. Also in house made pickles! The meat is incredible succulent and delicious. Nothing was dry. We debated on our fav but landed on the pulled pork, then the cheddar sausage, and the brisket. The meatloaf and pork belly were great too though. I’m typing as my husband finishes lunch and he just mumbled “the worst part is it’s all gone:(“ A bit pricier than other food we’ve had in Prague but worth it.

One of the craft beer pubs operated by Matuška brewery. The beer is definitely standing out from the crowd, but that's no surprise since it's one of the first craft breweries in Czechia. Spirits that they serve here are also done by one of the best distilleries in here. Considering food is a little bit more problematic there, the line is sometimes so long and the prices are not low at all. The food is good, but for the price, you can get a feast anywhere in 500 metres radius, and the only difference is that it wont be served on a fancy plate which is kind of sad. Overall, the environment is really cool and welcoming. Currently enforcing tipping culture, which is sad considering there is zero service done.

Soooooo, the place itself is nice. Modern, clean, fresh. Beers are really good, selection of other drinks is fine as well. The prices are a bit too high for beers, but ok.

But the place is pretty much just self-service, which should probably be communicated, massively and simply. Let's say that you actually have to go into a queue to get a beer, ok, I think we all can survive that. Let's say that you actually have to go into a queue to get food....yeeaaaah, that's about my limit. The food is not huge in portions and costs quite a lot.

But here comes the best part - the staff doesn't do anything extra, nothing extra at all, they don't bring you food, drinks, you handle it all yourself - yet EVERYTIME you go and get something, they let you choose a TIP on the terminal. Once you click 0% tip, you are being looked at like you have just murdered a puppy.

I would GLADLY give the staff a tip for their service and I always do so, but this is insane. There's no...
