We had a lovely stay in Prague and even Guns N' Roses opened their epic concert with It's So Easy. Well, neither was inspired or in any way assisted by the Easy Journey Pension.||||The place was shady from the start, seeing how we had to basically break in the jammed Plexiglas furnished main door upon entering the building. Our "landlord" awaited us and gave us the quickest tour of the place ever. So quick, in fact, we could barely see anything. Later on it turned out that that was because there was nothing to see. A master at dodging questions he informed us that breakfast would be delivered to our room at 8.15 in the morning. Of course that seemed less then practical on the day after the concert, but, hey, who'd say no to a free breakfast, right? Well, in this case, you might as well try it. Everything looked and tasted like it came from a nuclear shelter storage closet. Yet, we had to partake in at least some of the food, since the kitchen was equipped with only a fridge and a kettle to boil water. So, basically, a common room dubbed the kitchen, but lacking any similar utility.||The beds were uncomfortable and the sheets were made out of the same plastic as breakfast, so sleeping was a constant struggle between slipping off the bed and getting your linens permanently tattooed to your back. There was an ornamental TV (meaning useless), lots of lamps, drapes and other equipment in the same state. The cleaning ladies would pop in and out of the apartment like (not so) stealth warriors to store away the remains of the precious breakfast food and change some towels, arbitrarily.||||Geographically the location is awesome, yet Plzenska Street seems to be where all the action is. So, every morning/night we were lulled to sleep and awoken by passing trams, perpetual sirens and drunk people howling.||||A group of six we received one set of keys and upon asking our friendly host, if we might get another, he told us they were lost or even stolen by a group of Colombians who were staying there before us. In case you were wondering, they did not leave any stash in the flat. Fun fact: Before we left there was a slight attempt at framing us for a certain broken drape holder (which was in the exact same state we found it on the first day), so there might even be some new stories about savage Slovenians tearing the place apart.||||So, if you like boarding in pensions survivor style and telling tales of Colombian (perchance Slovenian?) hoodlums who are to blame for all that your Easy Journey is lacking, definitely stay at this place, you won't regret it. But. If you prefer comfort and usability, do turn your...
Read moreWe booked a room for 4 people and 1 dog in advance, but we were given a room which was really too small for us, and they even asked more money for the dog! There was not even space for the luggage, we had to climb over each other and wait in turn to walk not to step on each other! We were given only 4 very small towels, and only on the third day we managed to have a normal size towel for the shower. Breakfast was brought to us in our small room: tea or coffee for the kettle, some slices of bread, ham, cheese and jam and 4 people eating on a very small table, two sitting on the bed and two sitting on two stools, no space to move, and the dog always under the table because there was not space for him, the luggage occupied all the remaining space on the floor. This room might be right for 2 persons. The lady was not really kind to us and never tried to make us feel more comfortable. The bathroom is really small, but the shower is new ( this is actually the only good thing in the room). The only good thing about this place is the position, about 35 minutes walk along the river to the city centre. Fortunately Prague is a wonderful city, so we didn't mind sleeping in such a...
Read moreI’d like to give this place a one-star review. At first, the price was €170, but the booking wasn’t confirmed, and the amount changed to €190 a small issue, but still annoying. However, the real disappointment was that the room was terrible for the price. It had a sour, damp smell, was extremely small, and the towels were worn out and a bit shabby.
The receptionist barely spoke any English just a few words, but she was helpful, and the cleaning lady was very polite and kind. Based on the photos, I expected a nice apartment, but the room was nothing like what I had hoped for.
For the price, it’s way too expensive compared to newer, nicer apartments and rooms located much closer to the center of Prague ( I booked before cheaper and moderner apartment for way cheaper price as this one )
The breakfast could also have been of better quality and variety for three people.
Not far away from city center… you can take the tramway by walking 4 minutes...
