We arrived fairly late and knew that reception was only manned from 08:00 - 20:00. However the process was relatively easy to check in. An intercom on the door was answered quickly and they gave us instructions on what to do, where our room was and to check in in person the following morning.|The room was very spacious with a good sized bathroom and plenty of storage space. Everywhere was clean except for the toilet bowl which was slightly water stained but this wasn't an issue.|We had one night where some other guests arrived back very later (early hours) and created quite a commotion. With no one on reception to contact and not wanting to get into a fight with them we had to wait for them to finish. Not the hotels fault but it was quite annoying.|The hotel is around 25 minutes walk from the main tourist areas but once we got our bearings it was quite easy to find our way around. |We didn't use the breakfast facilities as we preferred to eat a little later in the morning. As well as reception closing at 20:00, so did the bar. This isn't something that affected us as we were out in the evenings.|There are a few bars and eating places nearby if you don't want to venture too far at night. The Oak is great for a brunch, the English breakfast is exceptional as is the home made granola.|Also try Reset Bar which is a 2 minute walk away. Tasty food, nice atmosphere and not too pricey. Apparently, it's owned by the goalkeeper of the Slavia Prague football team!!|Contrary to a previous review, we found reception staff to be very friendly and helpful giving us guidance on a particular place we wanted to visit. |Also, we were concerned that after check we would have to carry our bags around with us until we got our airport transfer at 6:30pm. Again, contrary to a previous review, the gentleman on reception offered to hold our bags in a secure area until later in the day and allowed us to use the bathroom facilities before we left.|All in all, a good experience and we would probably use the hotel again although somewhere closer to the centre might be preferable if you don't like...
Read moreSCAM ALERT! This hotel is a total scam. When you first book, everything looks fine - nothing out of the ordinary. But then they send you a confirmation email with a TON of fine print that was no where to be seen on the original description, including an unheard-of 1000 euro deposit! That is over 4x the price of the total stay! I tried to call them at the number listed on the confirmation, but this number doesn't work. Even weirder, it is the same number listed for many other hotels in Prague that have almost the exact same wording and websites, just different names. I was finally able to reach a representative of the hotel, who lied twice about the deposit. First, I was told that yes, it really is 1000 EURO. Then, the hotel said, no, it's a mistake, that it is 1000 Czech korun. The next lie was saying that this 1000 korun is equal to about $16 USD. At the time of this review, 1000 korun is equal to about $41 USD. AVOID THIS PLACE. The lying staff, and the misleading policies made me not even want to see what it was like in person. I can't imagine it will be anything good after their sneaky money schemes. I didn't check in, and they refused a refund, even after lying and pulling such questionable tactics. Prague is a wonderful city full of wonderful people. This hotel doesn't represent Prague. It should...

Applicable to exiting the hotel where you need to climb those steps.|With 2 huge suitcases, we had a tough time as seniors while checking in. Even though we were told someone perhaps may help when we check out, at 4.45 am in the morning, obviously we had to do it ourselves, huffing and puffing.|Hence, for seniors, people requiring assistance and people with heavy luggage, this hotel is not recommended.||Staff in this hotel can be a bit more friendlier…||Room was not big enough to accommodate 2 big suit cases, though it is not their problem.||Simple breakfast room with usual fare for vegetarians like us. Again not their problem.||We could locate Indian restaurants in walking distance from the hotel.||Complained to the front office about getting a torn towel in the room. Honestly, unbelievable…||As the reception and restaurant get closed at 8 pm, in the event you need a breakfast pack for an early check out, you need to collect one previous night before 8 pm itself.||Was booked in this hotel by our travel organisers who planned our entire tour.|Not sure whether we would have chosen this hotel on our...
