Super clean, brand new modern style rooms with very detailed Egyptian decoration everywhere, beautiful view of the Great Pyramids, rooftop restaurant and lounge with great food and drinks (fresh squeezed juice) ,breakfast included, spacious hot shower (rain head style with tile and glass) , nice comfortable beds and truly steps above the rest that you can find in the area for a very reasonable price (I'm from America and this would easily be a 5 star $300 a night room) well worth the few extra dollars compared to the other hotels. The best part is Zico who will help you in any way possible with anything you need, (tours, good places to eat, how to maneuver around Giza and Cairo like a local ( you will need the help Cairo is very fast paced and hectic) don't even think about driving , he will arrange for a driver wherever you need to go and pick up from the airport is complementary if you stay more than 2 nights (Mustafa was our driver who was great to the point that we invited him to come to a dinner cruise with us we booked through Zico for my wife's Birthday with belly dancing food and drinks). What I really like is everyone is very genuine and really wants to help you have the best time you can during your stay ( I pride myself in sniffing out BS and I truly feel they care and genuinely want to help) all hotels can book your tours for you but most will try to push you into things but not Zico, he will offer you help in any way he can but is very relaxed and lets you do your thing. How I know is because at first we were hard headed and tried to coordinate everything ourselves as we normally do wherever we travel but after the second day Cairo got the best of us and we booked a dinner cruise , tour of Memphis, Dashur, and Saqqara, and a Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor stopping at the Nubian village,Edfu, Komombo, Temple of Philai, and Luxor both east and west bank Karnak temple, Luxor Temple, and Valley of the Kings, all with a private tour guide tickets and transportation included, finished off with a tour of old Cairo and the Egyptian museum. I know it sounds like a lot but you can see almost everything with enough time and Zico's help (we spent 8 nights in Egypt) . Unless your rich and can travel anytime you want I suggest making the most of your time you have here. Get up early do every tour possible and see everything you can , who knows when you can come back with all the craziness in the world that's happening. I feel like we've made genuine friends from Zico to our tour guides to people we met along the way. We've all exchanged info and will definitely keep in touch as we will be back cause it's impossible to do everything in one trip unless you stay a month. We still have to do the black and white desert, Siwa Oasis, Fayum Oasis, 4 wheeler driving in the desert, and much more but that's for next time. I highly recommend this hotel and 100% take Zico's help , don't be hard headed. I almost forgot about Sam he works at the hotel as well you will see him at breakfst and was always ready to help in anyway when we seen him but we were on the go so much we didn't get to talk as much as I'd liked. In summary come to Egypt , stay at this hotel , do everything you can and enjoy yourself this is a once in a life time trip as this is the first review I've left since we normally do our own thing but I really appreciated and needed the help this time ( we've been to Hawaii,New Orleans, India, Colorado , L.A., Las Vegas, Thailand, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and other places in the states and we always travel on a budget we're not rich. Ok I think I'm out of breath lol or out of thumb strength....
Read moreAs numerous other reviews report and pictures prove, this hotel is underneath the magnificent Zeeyara rooftop restaurant, from which we enjoyed a very tasty dinner with magnificent views of the pyramids. The pyramids are very close, with EPB being almost at the edge of the neighborhood with only the Mena House golf course between you and the Giza necropolis. ||The top floor of the hotel (floor 5) has a small terrace which also has an excellent view of the pyramids, and has 5 rooms considered "pyramid view". 504 and 506 enter from the central lobby anbd have a direct view out their window, and plants providing a bit of a wall on the terrace. Rooms 508 and 509 have to be entered from the terrace itself and are on the other side of the terrace, but also have a direct, unobstructed view from inside the room. Sadly, we were given room 505, which is set much further back and I would call having a 'mostly obstructed' view... I include pictures so I won't be called the big liar. ||The room itself was clean and adequate, though it looked as if the door had been kicked in at some point and not repaired- so the lock/deadbolt really served no purpose as the door could be pushed open easily. There was always a member of the hotel staff in the lobby, so we felt safe. Youseff, a nice young man wearing a hotel labeled hoodie, was waiting at street level when our Uber dropped us off and helped make sure we found the hotel entrance and got us into the elevator and up to check-in on the 5th floor. As other reviewers have said, you will eventually see the sign, but the entrance is not incredibly obvious for first timers, so Youseff was a nice help. Picture included. While the restaurant dinner (not included) was wonderful, the included hotel breakfast is very light (picture included of the 3 options), so factor that in if you are planning a big adventure day around Giza. It also does not start until 7am, which for certain travelers wanting to get an early start for hot days, might be a bit late. Million dollar view is still the same for dinner and for breakfast. We went to make hot water in the kettle in our room later and found it had EU plugs... man at the desk had it replaced with a Egyptian plug kettle in under a minutes. ||Good service all around, a capable small hotel if you want good proximity to the Giza complex and a very easy dinner/bfast restaurant with spectacular views of the pyramids... this is a great value option. Be prepared for a small disappointment if you book a pyramid view room and get Room 505... but perhaps request rooms 504, 506, 508 or 509 specifically and hope you get it. Overall, with the terrace and restaurant, can't complain too badly. Side note, the Mena House entrance to the Giza complex is closed as of April 8 with the new Great Entrance opening on the opposite side. The hotel still has the great views and you are relatively close to the action, but can walk in the old Mena entrance like you could...
