We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of December last year. The facilities and breakfast were good, and the young staff were friendly and tried their best. However, the overall experience was ruined by the manager, Jeymy. Her attitude and way of handling situations were extremely disappointing, which is why we are writing this review even months later, although we do not usually write reviews.
Room issue: At check-in, we double-checked if our room would have a mountain view. When we booked in early November (before the hotel’s official reopening), the hotel’s website did not offer any option to choose a view). A young staff member kindly looked into it, but then the manager came over and said firmly that our room already had a mountain view, so there was no problem. However, when we entered the room, as shown in the attached photos, there was no mountain view at all. It was on the ground floor facing the road with heavy traffic noise. We immediately went back to reception. Another staff member was trying to assist, but again the manager appeared. We explained that the room was supposed to have a mountain view, but she dismissively said the hotel had “no Mont Blanc view” (although they actually do), and only suggested we come back the next morning. The next morning before breakfast, staff told us they could not check availability until the manager arrived. After breakfast, the manager said she would only know after that day’s check-ins. We explained we would be skiing until evening, and she said that was fine. But when we returned in the evening, another staff member told us a room had become available but since we had not packed our luggage (something Jeymy had never instructed us to do), we could no longer move. We were then offered a switch only for the very last night of our 4-night stay, which made no sense. This back-and-forth dragged on for two days, wasted our time, and every explanation from the manager kept changing. It was stressful and frustrating to deal with, while the young staff seemed willing but powerless.
Skii pass issue: We had booked the "Chamonix Discovery Package", which included passes for Aiguille du Midi and ski pass for Brévent-Flégère, etc. Even though our booking clearly stated that the passes were valid for all 4 days, at check-in Jeymy told us it was too late to issue them on the first day because she had not been “informed in advance.” Such a requirement was never mentioned in the booking confirmation. When we pointed this out, she gave contradictory explanations, even saying another guest had just emailed her about it (which had nothing to do with us). She also remarked that if we had not already reserved a slot for Aiguille du Midi ourselves, the pass would be “useless” anyway — which was unnecessarily unpleasant to hear right upon arrival. In the end, only after we insisted strongly did she agree to issue the passes that day, but instead of confirming to us, she told us to come back to reception later to check if they had been issued. This felt unprofessional and dismissive.
It is truly unfortunate, because the younger staff members were courteous and tried to assist, but they seemed to have no authority, and every time the manager stepped in, the experience turned frustrating. If the management had been more professional, our stay could have...
Read moreI stayed there for 5 nights and everything was perfect till last day. That’s why I rate as 4 stars and not 5. I would even say 3,5.
Regarding the spa: To be honest 2 out of 5 days something in their spa was not working. First time it was hammam but the lady at the reception tried to do her best to solve the problem asap. I had to wait a bit till their hammam was fixed. It was already almost 8pm (they close at 8), so the receptionist was very nice to offer me 30 min more. I didn’t really use this option but it was very nice of her. But the last day in spa spoiled my impression. That day I had a paragliding tour, it was very cold so the first thing I needed after I was back to the hotel was sauna. I went there and found it not working (it was cold and there was written « stop » at the panel). It was 7pm. I took a picture and went to the reception. There was another lady there whom I saw the fist time during my 5 days stay. She was incredibly unprofessional. After I asked to call the technician she said that « maybe » it’s cold because they are closing. But it was 7pm! Before I was always staying in their spa till 8pm with no problem. After I told her that, her face showed some annoyance by the fact that I’m insisting to solve the problem. She said she would call the technician. And, you know, no one came even after 1 hour! I’m sure she didn’t call anyone. At least she could be honest with me telling me that I can forget about sauna that evening, so I could go to my room. Instead, I spent 1 hour outside waiting, got nothing at the end and the next day woke up sick!
Regarding their restaurant: Food is really not bad there for Chamonix standards. I tried some other restaurants in the city and everywhere I had horrible food. And in this hotel restaurant, surprisingly, food was the best. Well it’s not as tasty as in Italy but comparing to what I had in other places it was ok. Stuff there was incredibly professional and polite till my last evening there. The last evening I was served by one girl who seemed new there, she didn’t know anything about their menu. I wanted to order ravioli and asked what was inside, she said « I don’t know »!
Regarding the bar: I really enjoyed my first days staying at the bar and chatting with the stuff. They gave me some useful tips about the city and were preparing really good cocktails. Everything was perfect until last day. I decided to take a drink before going to the spa and the barman told me he doesn’t understand English. Hmm, but he is working at the hotel, how is it possible? His face was very annoyed when I was talking with him in English and he was replying only in French. Very unprofessional for a hotel. I also had a closed bottle of wine in the room, there was no bottle opener in the room so I took the bottle and went downstairs to the bar to ask them to open. The barman saw that I came downstairs with elevator, he saw me in the spa before, but when I asked to open the bottle he asked me “are you staying in the hotel??”. Sorry, what? And what if I don’t? You don’t open a bottle for me? Is it so complicated? He did it with annoyed face, I didn’t like it at all.
So I was really happy during my first 4 days and really upset with...

Only basic toiletries like body wash, soap, conditioner & Tissues provided. Bicycles available for free, but they are very old type & not at all comfortable to ride for people who know how to ride.
Service- The breakfast is almost as expected from a 4 star property. Front desk staff is friendly & helpful. During check in they also help with guidance for sightseeing. They also sell chamonix pass for all sightseeing activities.
Not so positive: Room- Dont go for the 1st floor junior suite unless you prefer a twin room. As the double bed is actually 2 twin beds combined which is very uncomfortable, we suffered sleepless nights due to this. Even after booking in advance & requesting on email as well as in person for higher floor & double room we were given this room. The room is not sound proof, so if there is a party or rush downstairs at the bar/restaurant/pool, it gets noisy as its very close to them. The lights in the room as per the theme are very low so it gets dark unless you keep balcony open during the day. Also people can literally see in the room if balcony is open as it faces the restaurant's seating area & pool.
Service- Pillow covers are not changed daily. Bath Robes are worn out/torn. The rooms are cleant when you haven't even put any sign & just gone downstairs for breakfast. Some people were allowed to get drinks at the pool area while others weren't. The jacuzzi/hot tub is small & tends to get crowded so you have to wait your turn for long time especially in the evening. & even after you get your turn some people are not very courteous & there's no...
