I decided to sell in Jan 2017 a much loved apartment that I had owned for 17 years. I owned via a company and therefore the process would be slightly different. Andy and team at Mountain Base were completely aware of complexities from day one and I was very impressed with their knowledge and appreciated their direction from start to end. It took just over a year to sell and during this time my emails were always answered promptly and the whole team were really professional and approachable. Speaking hardly any French choosing this agency I now know was imperative and really made the sale process easily understood from my side. It is a different system to that in the UK. In addition to being impressed with Mountain Base team, I was equally impressed with the Notaire they use. If only legal people in the UK could be so prompt. This service (legal side) is included in the estate agents fees and Alban Rollet Notaire office were incredibly efficient. I dealt with Trudi and both Trudi and Andy kept me informed on the process throughout duration of the sale. Fees are higher than in UK and may be higher than some of their competitors but in my opinion what you pay for is what you get and without doubt if you are English speaking and want to sell a French apartment I would recommend you appoint Mountain Base /...

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this real estate agency both as a buyer and a seller, and I cannot recommend them under any circumstances. As a buyer, I was repeatedly misled about key details of the property. The owners and agents were more focused on closing the deal than providing honest and transparent information. Promises made during the viewing were not upheld, and important issues were downplayed or omitted entirely. As a seller, the experience was equally disappointing. Once I approached them regarding my 1 bedroom apartment, I found them very responsive and easy to deal with.
