Ladurée Cannes — Restaurant in Grasse

The lady working today there was very rude to us. We spent 100 euros buying macarons and keychains. I made a photo of the shop and the lady yelled at me saying no no no. In Paris I was allowed to make photos so I didn't even think of asking. 1 hour later we came to buy one more keychain. The lady came and bent her head very obviously and looked inside my laduree bag to check if I stole anything. I found this behaviour extremely condescending. Visited this store on 29th June. Male staff member was conversing with 2 customers for ages (he was being attentive to them but too much, when there are other customers waiting). Two female staff members were behind the counter, but giving their attention to a private group/party at the back. We were left standing there for ages - we were next in line. Nobody to serve us. When one of the women eventually came to serve us she said the ice cream machine wasn’t working. An absolute waste of our time. During my visit to this coffee shop, and while I was in the process of purchasing an ice-cream, I casually considered capturing a video of the ice cream-making procedure for a memorable moment, ensuring that I wouldn't record the employee's face, as is often done by many. Much to my surprise and disappointment, the employee's reaction was not only unaccommodating but also disrespectful.
