We just ate here this evening, and could not have been happier with our experience. We are from Texas, living in Paris for 3.5 years now. Georgia is a little slice of Americana heaven. Caroline nails the Decor, with probably one of the most gorgeous bars I have seen. The menu hits all the right notes. The pulled pork quesadillas were a great combination between southern pulled pork with Texmex influences. We didn’t even manage to snap a photo, they were so good! For the main course, we had the shrimp boil, chili con carne, and hot dog. The shrimp boil was a fantastic marriage between French cuisine and low country (southern US) shrimp boil. The chili con carne hit the right balance with robust flavors, while maintaining enough lightness than you don’t feel like you just ate a brick of meat. Texans: there are beans, but very few. The cornbread that accompanied the chili was legit, with a good crust, texture, and mais that is not overly sweet. Our daughter had the hotdog, which was a beautiful sausage that she rated a 10/10. This Texan had 2 margaritas, as that Paris is stepping up its cocktail game, and Georgia has an interesting offering. I think it would benefit from a fresh jalapeño, but that is my personal preference. For dessert we had the cinnamon roll and brownie. The cinnamon roll was proper, with the icing shining and winning my heart. The brownie may be overly sweet for most Parisians, but it is on point for an American brownie, with the dulce de leche taking it to the next level. Overall, Georgia is excellent, and worth a visit no matter where you are living/visiting.
I came back to edit my review to mention that the owner and entire staff are amazing. They are so friendly, take excellent care of all the patrons, and will sit down and talk with you during off-hours when business is slow. I only have survival French, and they kindly take time to even offer an impromptu French lesson! ...
Read moreThe place makes you beg to get a table. When I arrived by myself to ask for a table for four, a tall waitress told me to wait until my friends arrive. Soon two friends arrived, three of us asked for the seat, this waitress used her unique attitude replied “are you three or four? “ and just left and refused to have eye contact, I’d have to confirm with her again if she really refused to let us three sit just because there’s fourth one not here yet. All the time they have a big table for 8 people available and she knew she would lead us there anyways to spilt it with another group of three or four, and between making your life easier or harder, she chose the later. After graduated from primary school so many years, I felt like met a strict Dean again. If you wanna ruin a happy weekend mood to get some attitude, this place could do that. Besides this experience, the salmon egg Benedict’s salmon is chopped but not a slice. The sauce is bit too plain. And the tea Bio rehab is nothing tastes like green...
Read moreFor our first stop on a 2 month sojourn through Europe, it’s Paris. And to our delight, next to our sweetest #Hotel á Moi for a week, we found #GEORGIA’S! This friendly neighborhood bistro, owned by the lovely Caroline, should be on a must visit list while in Paris. Unpretentious, even a bit funky, the vibe, the fabulous food, good wines and in the morning - best coffee, called us back several times in the week. And this is Paris! Known for fine cuisine and all that. I’ll come back again for the Mushroom Toast (a meal)! Highly recommend if you’re visiting and want to experience an authentic warm and welcoming plus wonderful fresh delights away from the usual attractions. Find it, definitely worth it! Merci beaucoup Caroline. Until...
