Pizza Caratello — Restaurant in Paris

A cramped uncomfortable environment, made worse by poor service (15 minutes for acknowledgement to order drinks and food).

The food is mediocre at best, from beginning to end. Starting with bruschetta, while it was fresh which was great, it was however vastly unseasoned and left for you to sort it out yourself (I'm not a chef, that's why I eat out...). The pasta (cecca) was small in portion and poorly seasoned. The pizza (buffalina) soggy like soup, so much so that I am eating pizza with a knife and fork...

And finally the sharing plates were dirty, see photo.

There are multiple reviews that echo the sentiments above, poor service, mediocre food and overall feeling of being cramped. I strongly suggest the restaurant goes again with their approach to all areas.

The service is a standout here. We visited this place on a recommendation from the folks at the hotel we were staying and we weren't disappointed. The food was tasty and the portion size were decent. There was too much cheese for my liking in the salad I ordered and the staff were very helpful and watchful... I guess they were observant of my expressions when I saw the amount of cheese in my salad.. They immediately came forward and asked me if everything was alright and when I mentioned that I didn't expect so much cheese in my salad, they were quick to offer a replacement. They said I could order something else or they could remove some of the cheese and custom make the salad for me with more veggies.. Super bad service. We were told that a table will open up in 5 mins but we waited for 30 mins. People who were behind us in line were given a table first not sure why (probably cuz we are tourists here). Service was super super slow. I had asked for water which came 15 mins later. A group of 3 people who were behind us in line were seated and had food and drinks on their on their table before us though we had ordered before. And mind you we ordered similar dishes only so its not like I had ordered something which would take more time to be prepared. Food was served to us almost 40 mins after ordering.
