Worst experience in Paris! Dined there with a guest. Both ordered "steak" frite which really wasn't steak, but between-rib-steaks. One steak was definitely more eatable than the other. My guest steak was nearly uncutable bc there was so much fat and greasle in it. We notified the Manager Frederique immediately to see if my guest could change his main dish. He laughed and said the "steak" was butchered in house and it was what was on the menu. He refused to switch the dish to another one and not charge us for the steak, although my guest had only taken 1 bite and realized how poor quality the meat was. It's not like we had eaten the dish in its entirety and then said it was bad. There was no good meat to be eaten. Upon removing the dishes, we again asked the waiter to have the manager and the "chef" compare both steaks to see how one was clearly of better quality in hopes of having the uneaten steak removed from the bill. They still charged us for both steaks which we paid for. It seems this restaurant is a tourist trap with clearly a need for customer service training or management changes. It doesn't cost much to make unhappy customers' experiences right, but the unwillingness to even consider that a piece a meat may not be of quality is just bad business. Needless to say we will dispute...
Read moreSolo female diner here. This place is a joke. I sat at one of their booths for lunch and was ignored for 15 minutes by several waiters despite attempts to flag them down. Then a waiter told me the booths were for four people and I was taking up too much room and had to sit at a smaller table. (NB the dining area was half empty, there was a French couple in one booth and a single male in the other, and both parties had been served straight away.) I pointed out that the one male solo diner at the next booth had not been asked to move, and I wasn’t moving. Waiter said, ‘have a nice day’ and walked off. Without taking an order. So I did have a nice day actually, I lunched at Quartier-General where they served me straight away and didn’t quibble about...
Read moreBig misunderstanding but exemplar resolution by the person in charge. Me and my couple we request the midi menu from the street board. But we chose plates that they weren’t included in the midi menu…to be honest, it was a little bit tricky. When I check the bill I realized that the final amount was not the one I expected so I claim for the correction. When they explained me that I ordered plates out of the midi menu I got frustrated and get into my nerves because it was extremely easy to misunderstand it. Lucky us, the person in charge(maybe David?) calm me down and redo the bill according to my initial understanding. So, tricky board menu (at least for the foreigners) but exemplar reaction from the staff. Added to this, the location and the...
