First of all - meat was absolutely tasty - chef in the kitchen is 👌. Because of the language limits ( I got the feeling it is already a scheme from absolutely not surprised by straight face of a waitress) - there were some strange questions about how many people will be sharing the plate of POTENCE DE BOEUF, which was a bit strange- but the waitress was insisting to know who would be eating it. When at the end we figured out - that it would be one adult and one child - order was taken. Such a big surprise came with the bill. Instead of paying 25,90Euros per portion - it appeared double price. The argument - it’s written on the menu PER PERSON - was mentioned. Also extra salad and extra French fries - were added to the order by a waitress with comment - it’s included, which wasn’t asked by me and I said we didn’t order it. The bill was payed. But definitely not coming back and not suggesting others, since the politics of the restaurant is not to have happy customers , who would come back because of good treatment , instead create confusion - without explaining that would be double price and not being interested on good comments and not caring about the reputation of the restaurant.

Very nice place to eat. The on street seating is really nice, the busy street adds to the atmosphere. My wife really enjoyed her burger. I think I had a translation issue. The english part of menu said Prime Rib, and that is something completely different to me, but they brought out a very nice Rib Eye Steak. It was overdone slightly as I like my meat very rare, but it was still tasty. I do not know what was in the Martini Blanc, but on a hot summer night it was incredibly refreshing. I think I could have ordered those all night long, but then I am not sure how I would have made it back to the hotel. The creme brulee was a nice end to a good meal. Our server was wonderful, and made sure we had an enjoyable time. Next time in Strasbourg I will visit again, because I really want to try the cordon bleu!

To all the haters of front row etablissement! This is for you! First of all, I hate dining in the front row. Secondly, around the globe I'd been proofed wrong several times. If you like homemade baked fries, if you like high class meat, if you like fresh salat, even when the convinience marinade needs to be replaced by a homemade one, If you like to be approached in your mother tongue by hard of the waitress recognizing your origin, if you would like to be pleased and recognized the very first moment you enter the restaurant, you should be fast. Everything stands and falls by the personnel hired in a spot. Be smart, be fast and go for it, as long as the setup stays the same. I loved it. After all I took Lemonade Ice Cream turned out to be sorbet. Delicious. And a café gourmand. Recommend it!

Worst dining experience I've ever had. We were a party of 4 adults and 2 small children. We asked for a table and they gave us one, without any mention of a minimum order or that they had a following reservation after 30 mins. We ordered food for the kids first and 2 mains wanted to wait to see how the kids react to the food before ordering more for ourselves. Once we realised that the kids were eating well, we wanted to order more for ourselves. But before we could do so, the waitress came and made a scene about how it was not okay for 6 people to order just 2 mains and she literally started clearing our plates. She mentioned that they have another reservation in 10 mins and that we had to clear out. They were rushing us out of the place and my toddler was not allowed to finish his food. To make matters worse, the waitress was badmouthing us to the other patrons and staff at the restaurant. They should have told us that the table was available only for a short while before the next reservation, and that there was a minimum order as soon as we got in. It was completely unacceptable to treat us the way they did. The food was fine, the atmosphere was fine, but the service was...

Got it — for Google, the most effective reviews are professional, balanced, and clear. They should state the facts, express disappointment without sounding overly emotional, and give potential diners useful context. Here’s a polished Google-appropriate version of your review:

Google Review (Refined): We decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews and came in ready for a good dinner. The soup was tasty, but unfortunately the main course was a letdown. We both ordered the prime rib medium-well, but it arrived very overcooked—tough, dry, and more like it had been grilled than properly prepared.

No one checked in on us after serving, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy and it was clear we weren’t enjoying our meals. For over CAD $180 for a soup and two steaks (without drinks), the experience felt poor value for money....
