The hotel is located very close to the railway station and there are also many shops around, which make it a great choice. The rooms are clean but in need of renovation and fridges should be added to the rooms. Paying 187 euros per night from 5-8 May should entitle you to more than currently offered. The reception service and specifically Pascale, Yosri and Marc are super friendly and helpful communicating fluentlt in English and many other languages, even Greek! However, the person that worked the night shift was exactly the opposite, basically doing a chore rather than being helpful. Every night I returned to the hotel he was indifferent, watching TV and ignoring the entrance bell, so I had to wait outside for quite some time. Plus he was rude and his English basic, not acceptable for the service expected at such a cost and in general. Last but not least, I discovered a substantial rate decline on my checking out (picture added) which was unacceptable. Basically prices rise to double or triple during EP plenary weeks in Strasbourg, which I guess it must be the case for other hotels...
Read moreI must say that this is one of the good budget hotels that I have stayed in Europe.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The people at the reception desk go out of their way to be nice - something that one does not find often in Europe. The conversation with the staff was very warm and friendly - it gives a personal touch to the stay and for this I give this hotel extra points! :)
We were given a room 1 hr before the check-in time and it was a very nice room. Despite the size, it was super comfortable. Great care has been taken to put in small but necessary things - electric dryer, kettle, warm shower and comfortable bed. You don't need to go around asking for such things in this hotel.
The location is absolutely fantastic. You can either just walk into the city and reach anywhere in 20 mins OR take the public transport from the central station which connects all points in the city! There are nice places, for any kind of food, within 5 mins walking distance of the hotel.
Overall, a very good experience. Thank you to all the nice people we met at...
Read moreWe very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel - it was very well located for the train station as we travelled to Strasbourg by the TGV from Paris. It was also well located for the Grande-Île and Petite France areas of the city and the tram and bus stops were also very close by for trips further afield. We arrived ahead of the check-in time and the receptionist, who spoke excellent English, advised that we could keep our luggage in the adjacent room and have a look around before checking in later, which we did. Breakfast was offered, but we did not avail of this, so we have no opinion on this. The room was spacious enough for us, the air-conditioning was excellent and needed in this hot late summer; the en-suite bathroom had the toilet in a separate adjoining room which is unusual and welcome. All in all, a very nice stay and we would happily recommend this hotel to any travellers heading to Strasbourg - we noted that the hotel was fully booked for the 1 of the 2 days we were there (a Saturday), so it...
