View was nice, breakfast was great, room was spacious. 👍 Small things to note: promised bathrobes were missing so we had to ask for those but we did get them, yay. The duvet covers had holes in them - we asked for new ones but never got any. Our fellow travelers had bigger problems with their room - their bathroom had a strange smell and the bathtub did not drain the water properly. It took multiple hours for the bath to drain. We encountered different receptionist - one big bearded guy was very nice and helpful, another dude did not seem to care about our problems at all. Did not try the pool - it is in another building. Also beware - the bar downstairs is closed at all times. Location wise it's up the hill so beware if you have trouble walking steep streets. It is a very walkable distance from the old town and very close to the funicular station. Lots of good food places are nearby.

Brilliant stay here. Best location for visitors — right next to art gallery of famous Georgian art, brilliant Italian ice cream shop with great coffee and honey cake (Luca Polar), the water park with rides, restaurants and the tramway up to see city lights. It’s 3 mins to the restaurants (try Bernard’s!!!) and Aerial Tram — Skyway up to the mountain, and boat rides. Brilliant, brilliant, staff — we had one problem with a Yandex driver lying and the hotel had security cameras and they helped sort it out on the spot at 1 am — they were flexible with luggage, GREAT breakfast, incredibly helpful staff and BRILLIANT 24 hour pool!!!!!! Thank you Ana, George, Irakli, and I wish I could remember the other names. You have been amazing people to share a holiday with.

I had a wonderful experience with a Astoria Tbilisi during my vacation in Georgia with family on July 2023. It is located in the center of Tbilisi, providing easy access to the city. The front desk staff was extremely pleasant and always ready to assist. Additionally, the breakfast offered was exceptional, served by friendly and welcoming servers. The rooms were spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities. Moreover, the hotel is conveniently situated just a 3-minute walk away from the Mtatsminda Park funicular, and there is also a nearby convenience store. Overall good experience and no complaints.

We checked jn to the room after a very modest day in the city. We were tired after a long day, we go to the room and we find out that the toilet door does not lock, on top of that we had to put cover on the blankets by ourselves, there were 2 water bottles but we were 3 when we asked for 1 more the gentlemen replied you have to pay. This continued for 3 nights we stayed there, having to ask for the bottle of water and still not getting it.

The people at the reception felt emotionless and hospitality was out of the question.

When we asked for wine glass, the response was there is no one come and take. Similar response when I asked for fork and spoon, when I went down, the response was I am the only one person wait.

Breakfast was a disaster, but considering the service we were receiving I have to say it was okay. One day the same sausages were labeled beef and chicken the following day the name tags had changed places, not only for the sausages but for all the items. Coffee was horrible.

When I wanted to use the swimming pool, it was in another building which is okay. But when I asked for the towel i got a reply, you will get it at the hotel with the swimming pool.

go there and a gentleman literally hides behind the desk after seeing us (not kidding). When I for the towel, the gentleman is visibly confused and start pacing up and down trying to look for someone, finally another person comes and tells me “go room take towel” I mentioned I am not in this building but the other one to which the response is “go other building bring towel from your hotel, here no give towel”

Reluctantly I walk 10 minutes to go to the other building and tell the guy i did not get towels can you help me and the response was they will give go.

Ive had enough at this point and told the gentleman to give me towels, after waiting for 15 minutes he comes with tiny hand towels. I accept it and go to the pool. Only after I had finish swimming and was wiping my face that I realize it was a foot mat.

This review honestly feels like me just venting out. But please do not go...

Very Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend

We recently stayed at this Astoria, Tblisi 4-star hotel and had a very unpleasant experience. We had booked three triple rooms in one block almost 15 days before arrival, but when we got there, they said the rooms were in different buildings. After arguing for more than an hour, they finally gave us rooms together. This kind of mismanagement is unacceptable for a 4-star property. If you don’t speak Georgian, please avoid this place. The staff barely understands English, and communication is almost impossible. On top of that, we felt clear bias toward Indian guests, which was extremely disappointing. When you’re running an international hotel, your team should at least be able to communicate in basic English and treat all guests equally. The staff’s behavior towards Indians is shocking. One of them even behaved rudely with my 5-year-old daughter — completely unacceptable. The washrooms had a strong foul smell, and there was no air freshener provided. The carpets looked old and unclean, as if they hadn’t been vacuumed for years. Room service doesn’t provide basics like toothbrushes, toothpaste, or proper slippers — you have to go to reception and ask for them. Hospitality was zero. The breakfast spread only caters to local tastes, with no Indian or international dishes at all. The staff in the restaurant were rude and dismissive, which made the experience even worse. Considering that many guests were Indian, the hotel could easily add a few Indian options or at least be polite to their guests. The blankets and bed covers were not clean — it honestly looked like they hadn’t been changed after the previous guests. Thankfully, I carried my own bedsheet and blanket. Overall, our stay was extremely disappointing. Poor communication, lack of cleanliness, rude staff, and biased behavior made this hotel one of the worst experiences we’ve had. If you’re reading this, please don’t book this hotel. And if you already have, cancel your booking even if you lose some money — you’ll...

I have stayed in this hotel several times. In both buildings. ||Although they are almost similar, I can say that I prefer block 2 (the more classical one closer to funicular).||I stayed in that building twice and both times I had a large room. The lobby is very pleasant to look at. The reception staff are very polite and friendly and they can arrange a taxi for you for less money that if you stop a taxi yourself on the street. Breakfast starts at 08.00 but we came earlier because we had to leave at 08.00 and we were allowed to come earlier.||||The other building is also fine. The rooms there have large balconies which is definitely a big plus. But I had a very unfortunate experience there with very noisy and arrogant guests who checked in at night and started making a lot of noise in the corridor at night, talking there at a very high level, their children were running at night (at 2 o'clock). It lasted for such a long time that even had to leave my room and ask them to keep quite. I saw a bunch of Indian-looking people standing in the corridor with the doors of the rooms open talking at a very high volume. Their children were just running around. They did not cease talking even after other guests came out of their rooms and 2 men from the reception came to quiet them. ||Their argument was, " We paid money to be here", as if other guests were staying there for free. ||Because of this awful experience and sleepless night, I was happy to leave the hotel (block1) although I understand that it can happen anywhere.||I wonder if hotels have the right to refuse the service to clients with destructive behavior just like...
