BREAKFAST IS — Restaurant in Tbilisi

Really cute place and nice service, had quite high expectations on this one, we ordered 2 Shakshuka, 2 orange juices, 2 americanos.

Shakshuka: To our surprise it is serve cold. Not a big deal but would be nice to know beforehand only the eggs are "warm". It's also a revisited recipe so don't expect your usual Shakshuka. The tomato base is like a cold paste. Not for me. The poached eggs were super undercooked, almost raw, I'm not exaggerating, it was full of the clear white egg thing. Impossible for me to finish my dish. You can get sick from uncooked egg. To serve poached eggs you really need to nail that perfect cooking time.

Fresh Orange juices: Plain taste, I guess they were just not lucky with that batch.

Americano: They serve it in a Ouralex type of clear drinking glassware and warn you "watch out it's hot". I get it, it looks cool, a coffee in a glassware but honestly I rather have it in a ceramic mug where I can hold it hot and start to sip on it straight up.

To me all these stuffs are hard to mess up with but somehow it happened.

Given that the prices were quite high we were disappointed and won't visit...

We came. We waited. We left. Arrived at the place for some late breakfast around 13.30. Asked if we could sit somewhere, and we’re pointed at a table just next to the bar. As no menu was given to us, we figured it was the one on the wall. Waited for about 30-40 minutes there. At some point a young lady behind the counter asked us if someone took our order, to which we said no, we are still waiting. And they just left us to wait some more. When at some point I asked if we could order, I was made aware that I must order at the counter. When I told the young lady that in the 40 minutes we were there no one told us that (which is kind of weird) she said that I should have asked. So not only we lost 40 minutes of our day, we were also told quite abruptly that service apparently was not a priority in this place, and we should have known better, as instead of saying « sorry for the misunderstanding, let me take your order now », I was repeated multiple times that it was on me to go and ask for service. All in all, service level is inexistant, wouldn’t recommend, even if the food was good (which we will...

A Breakfast Delight at "Breakfast Is"!

"Breakfast Is" truly lives up to its name! I had the pleasure of trying their scrambled eggs and cappuccino, and both were absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the cappuccino was rich and flavorful.

What really stood out was the impeccable service. The waiters were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. The speed at which the food was served was impressive, ensuring that I could start my day right.

One of the highlights was the diverse crowd. It was heartening to see people from different corners of the globe coming together to enjoy a meal. It added a special touch to the overall atmosphere.

If you're in the area, "Breakfast Is" is a must-visit. I can't recommend it enough!
