After seeing Sephora stores in numerous countries, I was truly excited that Sephora came to Berlin, Germany and went to the store immediately. I do not know why they decided that it was a good idea to put a Sephora store in the middle of Galeria Kaufhof. It is too small, therefore chaotic. I do not know how are they going to manage to fit in more new products and brands. Sephora is known for their good customer service, which you cannot really find in this one. No one greets you when you go there, hence the store being all over the place. If you need help regarding a product, you really have to fight for the attention of the staff. I am usually fine without any help, but a few weeks ago I wanted to buy a few products, however I could not. I took a basket, put one product in it, then proceeded to find the other ones. The small Huda palettes were out of stock, which is a common problem here, they do not restock it fast enough. Also, the eyeliner I wanted to buy was not available either. I asked to one staff member, she said; "Yeah we do not have it." And that is it. Maybe ask me what I am looking for? Maybe show me an alternative product? I ended up putting away the one product I had in my basket, and left the store. In another occasion, I bought one product, but they either refused or forgot to give me a bag. It was too crowded that I was frustrated to ask for a bag. I am giving two stars in the hopes of the store getting better, and even though it is a small store, it still has some variety. At least we can now test Natasha Denona, Huda Beauty, Hourglass and so on. So far I have not experienced any rudeness, but mostly a...
Read moreToday at 19:20, I naively walked into this so-called âcosmetics store.â Within minutes I realized: this is not a store, but a flea market after an earthquake, where the staff act like they ended up here by mistake and hate every single person who walks in.
Customer service? Zero would be too generous. What they deserve is a brand-new category: minus infinity. The testers are in such a disgusting state that youâd expect health inspectors to show up, and the staff resemble not consultants, but characters from a cheap marketplace drama.
At 19:44 (reminder: the store closes at 20:00!) I decided to touch up my makeup with my own products at the makeup table before leaving. Instead, one employee stormed over and started yelling at me in German. When I calmly asked her to switch to English, she only raised her voice even more â as if I was interrupting her from shutting down a barn, not standing in a cosmetics store.
When I stepped aside and took out my mirror, the second âemployeeâ turned the whole thing into a farce: she began spraying glass cleaner right next to me, managed to step on my foot, and even splashed chemicals onto my bag worth âŹ3,000.
The entire âdramaâ lasted exactly one (!) minute. Instead of respect, I received rudeness, a circus, and a damaged item.
Bottom line: your so-called âstoreâ is neither about cosmetics nor service. It is a theater of absurdity, where customers are treated as enemies and staff compete in rudeness.
I wish you sales that match your service â exactly ZERO. I would not recommend anyone even walking past this place unless they want their mood, nerves, and...
Read moreToday, I entered Sephora couple of minutes before closing. I immediately asked a staff member working on the cash register to direct me to a product to save time. She pointed to the shelf and politely told me I have 2 more minutes. That was totally fine as I needed only two specific products. I was reaching for those when another employee started rushing me telling me I IMMEDIATELY need to go to pay. I took the products and went to stand in the line to pay. There was a bigger group in front of me and they were figuring out some details of payment so it was taking a while. I took three steps back to look at the shelf thinking I could take another thing, but the employee started yelling at me to âgo back in the lineâ. I told her I am waiting my turn, so I could also wait here and maybe reach for an extra thing. She very rudely told me âno, you cannot wait here, you have to get back in the line, I want to go home!â, pointing a spot 2 meters away. I left the stuff I was planning to buy and left. I understand employees rightfully donât want to stay overtime, and they absolutely shouldnât, but I simply was not causing this, I was waiting for my turn to pay. Just please donât whine when physical stores become history, when shopping online at least nobody is...
