There are still things to work on. Bathroom, cleaning tables (right away). I see the approach in self service, which is good in this situation. Interesting japanese cafe in Germany. Worth visiting. (Edit) Forgot to mention commendable things. Firstly food and drinks: Good variety and quality menu(also lunch menu is valuable). I ordered オムライス(omelet rice) was really delicious and really well made( loved the tiny bids of carrot in it). Ordered hot matcha latte Good serving, quality good matcha from Kagoshima(also I think they are sprinkled matcha on top) was really delicious. Ordered dango, it was really fresh and tasty, the best I had in Europe (I think the are made by hand also with authentic recipe). Service/ Atmosphere: Really big/good attention to small details in decoration, food, ordering, etc..
Constantly improving, kind, caring, energetic workers. Also really tells and invites to their culture. Beautiful 茶屋 style. Loved tatami like sofas. Good arrangement inside and outside(entrance as in Japan itself). It is hard to find this high quality kind of establishment in Europe. I will definitely visit...
Read moreI ordered warm oat matcha latte and matcha tiramisu (no alcohol). I drink my own matcha latte everyday, so I am quite confident when I say that the matcha latte is overpowered by the oatmilk. The colour was nice, the latte art was rather disappointing. I pay attention to the other drinks purchased by other people, it seems that they are more specialised in cold drinks because those look nicer indeed. I am a matcha desserts baker myself, and I would say the matcha tiramisu was good! It was simple (I guess no egg), not too sweet, and the matcha powder on top was nice. I like the matcha tiramisu better than the matcha latte. They have a lot of seats available, toilet, and accept card payment. I would like to try the mille crepes but unfortunately it was not available. They also sell their matcha powder here, reasonably priced compared to the ceremonial matcha powders sold online in NL/EU (not the cheap ones at the Asian supermarkets). The staff were nice and service was swift, and I overheard them speaking Japanese so I am convinced this is authentic haha. Would love to come again to try...
Read morei appreciating how they want to bring the japanese culture to other countries, in this case its matcha. their cups say “japanese premium matcha” but what i had is far from premium. we ordered a matcha mango and strawberry. mind you, i drink matcha everyday from a brands that are very hard to get, so i know what matcha tastes like. but this was just…disappointing. the syrups were so overpowering. its meant to compliment the matcha. i wanted to give them a second chance so i ordered a normal matcha latte. i normally wouldnt drink oat but they didnt have any more options other than lactose free milk and coconut milk. upon my first sip i was hit with the strong taste of oat. literally no matcha whatsoever. i could only taste dryness of the matcha that it left on my tongue. the drink was so watery as well. i left disappointed. the store is very nicely decorated and all, but the matcha doesnt scream premium or high quality to me. the staff...
