Upon checking in at 2:30 PM, we were horrified to discover our room felt like a freezer—all windows were wide open in -3°C weather, the radiators were off, and the space was utterly frigid. To make matters worse, the room was visibly dirty (especially the bathtub, which had stains and grime), the bedside lamp was broken, and the bed was uncomfortably stiff with only a thin summer blanket provided—completely inadequate for the freezing temperatures.||Unable to tolerate the cold, we left the room and waited hours, hoping it would warm up. By 11 PM, with no improvement, I requested an extra blanket at reception. The staff member responded with inexplicable rudeness, asking intrusive questions before dismissively agreeing to help. After waiting 40 minutes, no blanket arrived. I returned twice more, enduring another 15-minute wait and a final 5-minute standoff, only to receive two blankets over an hour later.||The entire night was unbearable. The icy room, filthy bathroom (which made showering unthinkable), and lack of basic comfort turned what should have been a restful stay into a sleepless nightmare. Hotel is situated on a busy road, noisy all day and night. You can encounter some strange individuals in that neighbourhood... Walking down the Schadowstrasse shopping area, it'll take you to the old town (Bolkerstraße) and Konigsallee in about 15 minutes.||||Upon arrival, the door of our room stood wide open, which we found rather strange ? Room was spacious with a hardwood floor, no airco, only 1 chair in a twin room, sheets and towels had a musty smell, dirty cracked bathroom with cheap soap, wore down furniture, cleanliness could definitely be improved. Small fridge in the room, no safe though. Amenities upon request at the reception.||||We didn't have breakfast nor use the fitness or sauna, as it simply wasn't a very inviting place to be.||Overall impression is just a tired and outdated hotel, in desperate need of some renovation and a fresh paint job. Spent 1 night in this hotel, at walking distance (15min) from the old centre, parks, shopping malls and streets.||||Made our reservation online and we could already enter the room earlier when we arrived (at 14h). Parking garage across the street for 15€ during our stay... but what they didn't mention is that there was a limited height; our car which is 1,95m high touched the concrete ceiling and had some scrathes.||||Room was clean, all basic comfort items available (wifi, hairdryer, ...).
