So finally I could also enjoy some Korean Corndogs in Düsseldorf. I was craving for this for a while.
I had a corndog with mozzarella filling only but if you like some sausage in yours, you have also the opportunity to choose with half sausage and half mozzarella. For topping I had potatoes. There are a variants of toppings like potatoes, sweet potatoes, cornflakes and ramyeon (instant noodles). You can also choose just a classic corndog without and toppings. For sauce I had the K Sweet chilli, which was for me a little bit too sweet, but the name actually says that it’s sweet, so my fault.
I would like to give this one a 9/10. It was very crispy on the outside and creamy cheesy in the inside. I would take 1 point for my choice for the sauce. Maybe next time something like siracha mayo would make it 10/10 for me.
The owner/staff both are very friendly and have always a smile on their face, which makes you feel welcome. Their tolerance for patience, while standing and thinking about ages which combination you should take, is very...
Read moreOh delicious! I was so curious about corndogs and tteokboki, so I just tried both. The food is very tasty and filling. We had the small tteokboki, 2 corn dogs and a small korean fried chicken. Everything was absolutely delicious.
Corndog: You can choose whether you want a hotdog or cheese (or both) and you can add toppings like sweet potato and sauces. I had a mixed one and the cheese pull was 10/10. The dough was sweet, light and fluffy. Korean fried chicken: Crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside. Loved it. Tteokboki: In case you don’t know what the dish is, it’s ricecake in a tomato flavoured (slightly spicy) sauce topped off with lots of cheese. It was really nice and more sweet than spicy. This was really filling tho.
The service was fast. You order at the bar and get seated. Drinks are self-serve, but they will bring you the food and clear the table for you. You can use utensils or chopsticks to eat, whatever you prefer. It also wasn’t expensive at all… €44,50 for two corn dogs, 3 cola’s, kfc and...
Read moreFOOD & DRINKS Popular Korean street food items found a new home. I had to try the Korean corn dogs which were available with and without meat. Vegetarian fans of Korean food culture can jump up in joy. The corn dog was good. It was served lukewarm and ready to eat without you burning your tongue. I would have preferred my cheese to be more melty and flavorful though. The little cakes I had were good as well.
SERVICE Service was alright.
ATMOSPHERE I like that K-POP filled the room. I don’t like that this bistro looks a bit chaotic, unfinished and cramped. With a bit more effort, love and reorganizing this place can look a bit more fancy.
RATING I have been here before but under a different name with a slightly different menu. They replaced some of the menu items with something like the Korean corn dogs which I appreciate a lot. Since they opened not long ago, all I can say is that I hope they get all the support they can get. If they improve it can only get better for...
