Island Mykonos Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Mykonos

An OK experience but would not recommend. Here’s why:

We booked it during the off season (early February) and arrived by ferry late at night. Their website clearly indicate that check in time is from 3pm to 12:30am. We arrived at 11:10pm and there was no one on site. Had to call and wait 15min for someone to come and check us in. They should update their info page and not expect customers (especially those coming from overseas who don’t speak Greek) to know the hours are for the on season period.

Did I say we were here during off season? That means we were literally the only guests on the property. Despite that, we somehow ended up with probably the worst room. Not only was it small, but the 3 tiny windows all opened to a view of the next property’s walls, and we hated the shower stall that did not have proper enclosure making a shower session a huge mess. This should be the very LAST room to give out, not the first one.

The cleaning person had left a half full water bottle on the nightstand. With all the other stuff we had around the room, we hadn’t noticed it. I almost took a sip and thank god I realized it was clorox! Who and why would someone leave a water bottle with such chemical in the guest room???

This was by far the best accommodation and service I have experienced recently. The location is just perfectly situated in the centre of the city and yet it was very quiet at night which is very very important for me. The sea is right in front of the door. The Old Port Station and taxi stand a few meters away. What impressed us more was the polite and generous help of the host Theodore. We will never forget his hospitality and we want to thank you again for ordering our taxis, giving us your advices, helping us organise our fabulous Mykonos holiday. We had a great two room apartment with a balcony that offers a sea view. The rooms are decorated in expensive and valuable local Mykonos style furniture. In front of the Hotel was a local bakery where we had our breakfast and morning coffee. We will stay from now on every time here whenever we are back to Mykonos. Thank you again...

We stayed here for our honeymoon in the upstairs suite facing the water and absolutely loved it. We followed the instructions they provided before arrival and Theo met us out on the street to help us with our luggage. The space was beautiful and spacious. The location was PRIME. A very very short walk from the main bustling street but felt more secluded and quiet/quaint. We noticed some cat paws on the bed upon entering the room and we assumed it got in some point when the maid was there and when it was raining. My husband is not allergic to cats but ended up having very very bad reaction to this. We think the cat may have sat on his pillow by the looks of the paw prints and the “flatness” of the top of one of the pillows. Overall, we really enjoyed this property and would highly recommend...
