My partner and I had recently returned for a short trip to Mykonos Town last week (1 – 4 June 2023) and had decided to try out the Petasos Town Hotel which was new to us. ||The hotel, located in a most convenient, quiet location just steps from the town centre was welcoming, spotlessly clean and had a guest terrace offering perfect views over the town with perfect sunset views.||Upon arrival we were genuinely met with the warmest welcome from all members of staff including Kostas and Yannis on reception, both of whom went out of their way to offer friendly advice and really made our stay so pleasant.||Our room, (Room 20), was contemporary, clean and quiet, we were extremely comfortable throughout our stay. ||Breakfast options and a bar were available downstairs and a real bonus that raises this hotel above other boutique hotels in town was the free shuttle bus that offered a morning/afternoon return to the sister Petasus Beach Hotel not more than about 15 minutes away.||The fantastic facilities here included beautiful sea views, a freshwater pool, jacuzzi, private beach and great restaurant facilities, again with the most welcoming, friendly staff offering exceptional service. We had such a great time at this beautiful resort.||The Petasos site locations in town and by the beach offered an absolutely ‘best of both of worlds’ solution for a Mykonos stay as it was brilliant to spend the day with pool/beach facilities but then have all the amenities of Town on the doorstep at night. (For a couple of euros each way there is also the option of taking the public bus from town that also stops directly outside the Petasos Beach Hotel if one wishes to travel independently).||If booked directly with the hotel, a free shuttle to and from the airport is also offered.||I/we cannot highly recommend The Petasos Hotel experience for excellent service enough.||Many thanks to all who offered us such a great experience, we plan to return as soon as...
Read moreThe hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Mykonos town, yet away from the bustle. Some 50 meters (uphill) from the Old Port (where you can catch Sea Bus to thr New Port, if needed) and short stroll from Little Venice, Mykonian Windmills and Fabrika bus station. The breakfast is not spectacular, but it is nice, tasty and reasonable for starting your day. There are plenty of eateries nearby, if needed. We did not need further dish before lunch. The rooms are nice and clean, with luxury-feeling decor. People are welcoming, friendly and helpful in adressing any inqueries. Two big bonuses are a big 360' rooftop terrace with stunning views and an option to take free shuttle to and use the pool and services of their sister hotel located between Psarou and Platis Gialos beaches. We had a lunch there and it was tasty & cheaper compared to most of the locations in Mykonos Town. The only downside of the sister (beach) hotel is that one needs to use stairs to access the sea going straight to 2m depth. The only downside of the city hotel could be the need to ascend a hill if going from the port/Fabrika station (mostly with 20+ kg luggage) and aome noise from bars above. Nonetheless, I'd say that noise is not lower anywhere from Windmills to New Port.||All in all, I definitely recommend to all but people with small kids and will return, if I come...
Read moreBeautiful hotel in a great location. Amazing view of the old port from the terrace and some of the rooms. Our shower window even had the best view of the old port! Staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. Room is very nice, modern, clean, comfortable and plenty of storage room. Great breakfast buffet with many delicious options including gluten-free and non-dairy options for me which is rare! And a beautiful outdoor patio for dining. Be prepared for a lot of exercising with climbing up stairs and hills to the hotel and all over the island. The climb is worth the view! A wonderful perk is visiting the pool at their sister hotel, Petasos Beach Resort. They offer a shuttle in the morning and back in the afternoon or you can take the local bus. You can enjoy delicious food and drinks by the pool. (The photos of the pool and beach are at the sister hotel, Petasos Beach...
