This is the first time I've refused to tip "waiting staff" or "Rushers" for the purposes of this review.
My shoulder hurts from the rusher being perched upon it. I cannot fathom the disconnect from the overly pleasant guy at the front and the manic staff rushing around. It has to be a management issue as I've yet to experience this elsewhere in Greece. Wine and water glasses filled and filled again before a sip was taken. Jesus himself would struggle to fill glasses at this rate..
If you have the misfortune of being sat in the central concourse you should just up and go somewhere else. I wish I took the other 1 star reviews seriously as they are ENTIRELY accurate.
Main course was set on table before we were half way through starter, Rusher/Waiter seemed aggrieved that I requested the cheque at this point and flabbergasted that a tip was not offered.
Reply if you wish. You either whip these guys or incentivise them to behave in such a manner. It was a quiet night. Thanks for the indigestion.

Read moreI visited Maranto in Mykonos and overall had a good experience with the food. I ordered pasta with shrimp — the dish was truly delicious: the shrimp were very large and juicy, the sauce was well balanced, and the vegetables were nicely cooked, complementing the flavors perfectly. The kitchen left a positive impression.
The only downside was the service. During our entire stay (about an hour and a half), the waiters were standing right next to our table, as it seemed to be their “spot” to wait. Their constant presence felt uncomfortable and distracting, which is not acceptable for a restaurant aiming at a high service level.
That said, the place is cozy and atmospheric, and the food is worth trying. I can recommend it, but I suggest choosing a table away from the center to avoid having the staff...

The open air atmosphere and ambience is incredible with flowers & greenery very beautiful & pleasing to the eye. But what makes this spot one not to miss is the staff..particularly Nicholas and Vangelis. Nicholas is the host & his warm smile, friendly demeanor and incredible energy definitely sets him apart. When you meet him for the first time he makes you feel as if you've known him all of your life..he makes you feel like family! Vangelis is the most attentive waiter I've ever experienced. His attention to detail is incredible & he anticipates your needs before you even speak! His service is top notch. These two definitely need a promotion & raise because they are the reason our group came three days in a row....
