Petra Mykonos Studios & Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Mykonos

Don’t even try calling the main number for the hotel that’s on their website and booking sites, they will never pick up. Had to call the other number on their site, the “Senior” Sales Manager who when I called him mid-day trying to book a room was out partying and wouldn’t book my stay. Told me he’d call me back in a few hours. He never did. I called again late in the evening and he was still out partying but he booked me through his phone.

When I got to the hotel, the floor was very dirty. On the second day, their wifi stopped working because they hadn’t paid for their service. I got a page from COSMOTE (their Internet Service Provider) stating so when trying to load a webpage on their wifi. This issue persisted until the morning of the last day of my stay. I notified the people working there about the issue but it still took that long to resolve. On one morning, I asked the cleaning lady if she could change the sheets on the bed because they had gotten compromised and if she could bring me some new towels because they would never dry because their bathrooms have no air extraction, only a small window that does nothing to dry the bathroom or towels after a shower. I also asked her to clean the floor because it was just gross to step on without socks or shoes. The cleaning lady told me she would come clean my room and bring me new towels, sheets, and mop the floor in “30 minutes,” but when I walked back into my room at night, she had never even been in my room. Everything was untouched. The dirty sheets, the wet towels, not even a new bottle of shampoo after the two original ones were clearly empty, let alone the floor, which remained extremely dirty.

The sink in the bathroom was also leaking from below and the door handle to the bathroom door would get removed every time you tried to open or close the door because it wasn’t screwed into the door. And to top it off, the safe in the room was out...

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! We arrived around 1030pm, no one was around and it was difficult to locate anyone. Eventually the owner (George), came and showed us our room. Our room was currently being used and we were given an upgrade, for one night. The room did not look like the pictures and I was disappointed with the ‘upgraded room’ so I could only imagine what our actual room was going to look like. We were covered in mosquito bites, some netting would of been helpful. Next day we moved to our room and it wasn’t pleasant. It felt very dirty. However, we were only there for 3 nights. The pictures need updating! As I had booked through booking.com the payment was pay at property, when we were leaving George wasn’t around and the cleaner told me that George would be in touch. George could not take payment from my card, I updated this on booking.com countless times but still unable to get the payment. Eventually when I got home, I arranged payment outside booking.com (as instructed by booking.com) in the banks error, it sent two payments to George. George took over 2 months to send the extra payment back, despite me contacting him. Even on one occasion telling me that because of the delayed payment, that I should wait (this was an error with booking.com, not me). Eventually George did return some of the money, but kept £60 for ‘bank fees’. I was not charged this much for transferring the money to begin with. 4 months later I am still waiting for my £60 to be sent back. I have contacted George numerous times....

By far the worst hotel i ever stayed at . When we arrived there was no one to greet us (what a way to welcome your guest) . A lady who did not speak English contacted this person on the phone and we had to talk to him to confirm our arrival . The lady opened the door for us and that was it . This is definitely not the beautiful Mikanos that I thought i would experience. The view his HORRIBLE there's only construction around and the water smells bad ! The number given on the reservation the person NEVER answers so we ended up asking people around questions on where to go . The host seems unknown by the neighbors which is very bizarre. This has highly tainted my stay in Mykonos but at least we found this one neighbor that was really nice ans told us that we could ask for anything . The room is antic not really modernized and there was a lot of fruit flies in the room at our arrival. DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT YOU SEE ON THE PICTURES THEY ARE...
