It is a beautiful hotel located in the middle of the Medieval City of Rhodes. we originally stayed in the Cosmos room but found it hard to take a shower in (there is a jacuzzi but the showerhead was difficult to adjust). Luckily, the manager had the Anatoli room available and we were able to switch. The Anatoli room has smaller living quarters compared to the Cosmos but the bathroom fit our needs. The hydromassage column in the shower worked better than expected. We only took one picture of the Anatoli room and it was the bathroom. The water in the rooms were lukewarm the first day but was able to turn up the temperature more by the second day. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast was served daily and the meals were delicious. The courtyard is beautiful and location wise, you can't pick a better spot. It is a few minutes away from the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes, Our Lady of the Castle, and the Archaeological Museum.

Wonderful location and outstanding staff / service / food / advice over our 4 days, however… Our room required a lot of maintenance: Most shutters won’t close properly, admitting too much early morning light The room door lock is so stiff it is at times very difficult to open, and very noisy (neighbours disturbed) Some of the lights don’t work There is no bedside light on the left hand side The shower doors don’t meet when closed, shower leaks onto floor The wooden floor or deck on the balcony is rotten - someone could fall through The wifi instructions on the ground floor table are very hard to find - took us 3 days and then only by accident The “desk” chair is bulky, does’t fit under the desk, awkward The knob on the bidet plug fitting is off, needs to be refitted The wardrobe is unusable as the two sliding doors are stuck together neither the old nor the “new” safe work

I just can't say enough good things about Avalon Boutique hotel. This gem is tucked away in old town Rhodes but right around the corner from everything. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our suite, Anatoli, had a large outdoor terrace, a small indoor dining area and sitting area, a king sized bed, and a well appointed bathroom with great water pressure. We paid 972 euros for six nights and that includes breakfast and round trip airport transfers! After staying in a "luxury collection " hotel in Athens, we think Avalon was a much better deal, and the room was much larger. They also have a cute cafe that serves lunch and drinks. If you're staying in old town Rhodes I highly recommend Avalon!

We stayed at this hotel in the “Villa” in April 2024. The villa we stayed in was un-livable. Here are some of our complaints.

The shower in the bathroom that is attached to the bedroom did not drain. The shower was not clean! The water went up to my knees. The water was disgusting and never drained so I was never able to wash off all the muck that occurred from not draining. Because of that my husband showered in the second bathroom. Water came dripping down from the ceiling into the living room into my luggage that was open and got everything in there wet. Clearly this was not a new leak because damage was seen on the ceiling from previous leakage. That bathroom also had an infestation of ants. The ants were all over my son’s toothbrushes skin care, clothes and towels. It was really disgusting! So basically, we had two unusable showers, and one unusable bathroom. One of the 3 bedrooms smelled of mildew and mold. After trying to find the smell I found wet rags in the closet. They were covered in mold. My son had to sleep in that room. The entire villa felt dirty and was not cleaned properly.

The lighting in the villa was horrible. We couldn’t see anything in the bathrooms or in any of the rooms. The lighting was so inadequate! I don’t know how you think that that is enough lighting for you to rent this villa.

We also weeks before our stay for a transfer from the airport to the villa. That booking was confirmed via email They assured me they booked a van. I also confirmed with them a few days before we arrived. When we arrived at the airport, there was no one there for us. I had requested a large van specifically telling them we had four large suitcases and four carry-on suitcases. After waiting an hour for a driver we called the hotel and they had forgotten to arrange the transportation. After that call they sent someone in a small sedan car that would only fit less than half of our luggage. He had to find another car that could help get two of us and half of our luggage to the hotel. So we ended up with 2 cars. And we still had to pay for that, even though that mistake was on them.

We stayed up until 2:00 am searching for a new hotel. When the gentleman that works there asked why we are checking out early we told him our issues and he seemed to know about all of them. They had no remorse or apology. They wouldn’t give us a refund. This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed and 100% the worst customer service I’ve experienced in my 55 years of life. Do not stay there!!! It won’t let me post 0 stars, but that’s what...

This hotel was very unique in both good and bad ways. On the good side - located in the heart of the old city, right off the street of the knights. Nice to be able to stroll through the multitude of shops and nightlife right outside the hotel door and the hotel itself gives you the feel of the old town. Breakfasts were amazing and the staff (owners, I believe) were very friendly. On the not so good side - the staff are only there from like 8 am to around 8 in the evening. After that, the place is literally locked up, empty and dark. Made for quiet sleeping, but also hard to get assistance, as we were out and about all day most days. Other big negative is it's very difficult to get to with luggage in tow (streets are all very rough cobblestone). Taxis don't go into the old city and the city gate is several blocks away. The hotel has a golf cart shuttle and there's a public shuttle as well, but they only operate after 9 in the morning. When we had to catch an early flight, the owner said it was too early to use their golf cart and the taxis couldn't come in, so we'd just have to drag our luggage across the cobblestone streets to get to a taxi at 6 am. I then called a taxi company myself and they said they'd pick us up in front no problem - that they are allowed to come in early mornings. At any rate, a minor blip but still a little frustrating. Otherwise, though, we enjoyed our stay and can't imagine not staying in the old city now that...

We recently stayed at the Avalon Boutique Hotel and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect — right in the middle of Rhodes’ medieval Old Town. You walk out the door and you’re straight into the cobbled streets with shops, cafes, and history all around. But the moment you step back inside, it’s quiet and peaceful, almost like you’ve escaped to another world. The stone courtyard is beautiful and instantly relaxing.||Our room was the Anatoli Suite, which was spacious and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the private terrace with sun loungers — great for having a bit of quiet time in the sun. The bed was very comfortable, everything was spotless, and the bathroom had a multi-jet shower that was a nice extra.||A big part of what made the stay so enjoyable was the people. Thenia welcomed us when we arrived and couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. There was also another lovely lady working there (sorry we didn’t get your name!) who was just as warm and welcoming. They really made us feel at home.||Breakfast was served outside in the courtyard, surrounded by greenery with the sound of a little fountain in the background. It was a calm and relaxing way to start each day.||This hotel has a great mix of old-world charm and modern comfort. We left with very happy memories and would definitely stay here again. Thank you to Thenia and the rest of the team for a...
