Hotel Ellique is amazing. Ellie, who is the owner is a lovely person and she designed and decorated every element of the hotel with a unique taste & quality. I am so glad we decided to stay there for our honeymoon vacation in Rhodes. She has been very welcoming to us, and extremely helpful every step of the way.
She picked us up from the outer gates of the town and carried our luggages all the way to the hotel with her scooter motor, which would have been otherwise a very challenging walk for us on the medieval cobblestones of the town. She then provided us with useful tips and very nice suggestions about where to visit, and eat. We found her recommendations really good!
The details of every room, the patio, floor have a story behind and are very beautiful. She did an amazing job staying true to the historical & architectural fabric of the old town.
We were served a very tasty breakfast every morning and Ellie remembered all our wishes from the previous day :) It was such a friendly and warm atmosphere during the breakfast, as we got the chance to chat with her and also with her lovely friends.
The hotel is situated like a relaxing oasis in the middle of old town, with the perfect walking distance to all interesting sites.
It has been perfect, cannot recommend it enough! We definitely want to go back there one day and stay again. Thank you so...
Read moreElly has created a wonderful little four room boutique hotel tucked away down a quiet cobbled side street in the old town, just minutes from the busy shops, restaurants and bars of Socratous Street. The rooms are well appointed with top quality fixtures and fittings, including a minibar that is replenished each day. Breakfast is served in the delightful courtyard by Elly and Jaqueline, typically freshly squeezed orange juice, a choice of teas and coffee, yoghurt and honey with walnuts, fresh fruit salad, pastries and breads, and eggs prepared to order (try the eggs with Feta cheese and tomatoes, delicious). We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary during our stay and found a bottle of champagne and a nice note from "Team Ellique" in the fridge when we returned from a busy day out, such a lovely thought. Each room keyring also has a key to the courtyard gate and a little torch to help with late night returns, another thoughtful touch. We stayed 5 days and thoroughly explored the old town from our comfortable base. When we left, Elly took our cases to St Athanasios Gate on her scooter trailer to meet the taxi she had booked for us. We had a really relaxing time and would definately stay again when visiting Rhodes. Thank you...
Read moreMy Wife and spent 6 nights at Hotel Ellique and couldn't have been happier. The hotel was recommended to us by a friend and exceeded our expectations. It is has been thoughtfully designed and beautifully decorated and sits in quiet street in the old town but within walking distance to everything. The host Elly is a lovely person, as is her assistant Jaqueline, who couldn't have made us feel more welcome. She met us at the gate to the old town and gave us directions and then took our suitcases on her motor scooter and trailer and they were safely in our room by the time we had arrived. She would also come and chat to us at breakfast every morning and was very helpful with directions and tips on everything from good restaurants to the nearest laundry or supermarket. The room (the blue room) was spacious and comfortable with a large bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful with fresh squeezed orange juice and fruit salad made every morning as well as bread and pastries. We were offered eggs cooked however we liked them but were very happy without them. The attention to detail and the small additional touches that most hotels don't bother with helped make the stay special and we can't rate this hotel...
